The Morning After by Michelle Reid (HP 1859)

Back Cover:

"You cannot be allowed to go on ruining lives simply because that body of yours drives men insane!" … Cesar DeSanquez was right about Annie's beauty: it had made her into an international supermodel. But the only life about to be ruined was Annie's - by Cesar! In reality, she was a shy virgin, but Cesar preferred to believe in her glossy image. He passionately believed that she had torn apart his family in the space of a night. And now, in the cold light of dawn, he wanted his revenge!

My Review:

I was really looking forward to reading this book, I came across the back cover a while ago and added this book to my "wish list". It didn't disappoint. Like many Michelle Reid books, the passion just leapt right off the page, the characters sparked against each other.

She's a sought after model with a bad reputation (she broke up the hero's sister's marriage), but she's really innocent (the sister's husband tried to rape her). Now in the present she meets the hero and he wants to keep her from causing harm to another relationship! Really though, he wants her and he wants her bad. He reasons that marriage is the only choice for them, but once they are married they still have obstacles, and some truths need to come out.

I wanted to call the character's actions unrealistic at times, but I couldn't because the characters addressed my objections themselves seconds after I thought "that's unrealistic!" So I think that MR did a great job with this pretty spectacular story of roller-coaster relationships, it really took me along for an intense emotional ride!

Rating: 4.5/5 stars, such an intense read!
