Mr. Irresistible by Karina Bliss - HSR 1426 - Jun 07

When I started reading this book, I kept checking mr irresistiblethe cover to see if it was a Harlequin Presents. Why? Because the hero sounded like a womanizing Alpha male. And that's who the heroine, newspaper columnist, Kate Brogan thinks he is. Her father was one so she should know. Kate also thinks Jordan is immature and a home-wrecker? Not only does she think it - she writes about it in her column.

Of course, Jordan King is nothing like that. He might be rich and know his own mind, but he's a selfless philanthropist who just hasn't found the right woman yet. However when Kate's column hits the stands, Jordan realizes he has to do something about her because she's putting plans for a youth camp in jeopardy. And he might be a home-wrecker, but it was an accident!

This was a fun book to read. It's located in New Zealand where Jordan leads Kate and some others on a 5 day wilderness canoe trip. The secondary characters are lively and really bring out both Jordan and Kate's good and bad traits.

This book follows Mr. Imperfect but I wasn't aware of that until I opened the book and read the author's comments. Because it wasn't listed as a series, I went ahead and read it.

Since finishing it, I've done a bit of research on the author's website http://www.karinabliss.com/  and found that the next book - Mr. Unforgettable, is a Feb 08 release. I read about Luke in Book 2 and the exerpt I just read on the author's website has me interested enough to go out and buy the book.

So the books are about 3 male friends who are business partners:

Book 1 - Mr. Imperfect Sep 06 HSR 1373 - Christian and Kezia

Book 2 - Mr. Irresistible Jun 07 HSR 1426 - Jordan and Kate

Book 3 - Mr. Unforgettable Feb 08 HSR - Luke and Liz

Heat level: Sensual  (Although I'll never look at dh's boxer shorts the same again.)

My Rating: Pretty Good
