This is a church-set potluck casserole inspirational, with poisonous mushrooms in the casserole being the culprit. I enjoy this book because of the setting and the small-town characters, and the church social feeling, so I pick it up and re-read a chapter or two when I'm in the middle of something--it's one of my "mood" books, when I'm in the mood for a book that isn't going to stress me out or make me sad. There are days for hanky reads, and days for church potluck murders, and this one's well-plotted. Of course, I love mushrooms and food, so this one's a keeper for me.

Hi, Paisley/Merri!
You know, I don't always want a church-set inspirational, but this one just caught me. It's not as light as some, I suppose, not like Churchill or Viets, but neither was it super-graphic in any way. I like my reads and my movies to be fairly non-threatening (I didn't see No Country For Old Men because people kept telling me it was a bit dark--how scaredy-car is that?)
and Murder By Mushroom felt just right to me. I hope you like it.
