My Front Page Scandal

Harlequin Blaze (Mobipocket eBook)
#10 - 01.26.08-01.30.08
• I haven’t read many Blazes, just not my type. But this one was recommended as being a good story and well written. And it is. I enjoyed the characters and their adjustment to meeting someone from a very different background.
• Brooke is a blue blood window dresser at a venerable department store in the ritzy part of Boston.
• David is a Sox World Series hero who quite the team and lost favor with his fans and the media, and comes from a poor Southern background.
• Brooke meets David when he crashes his motorcycle outside the window she is dressing late one night. In an uncharacteristic whim, Brooke is trying on the skimpy leather dress and stiletto heels she’d just taken off the mannequin when the noise of David crashing his motorcycle brings her out on to the street to see if he is ok. She accompanies him to the hospital, then back to pick up his motorcycle. He thinks she’s easy, when in fact she’s quit straitlaced. But she’s ready to break out of her sweater sets and go for leather.

Blazes & Inspirational Romances
Hi ChrissieSue:
Like you, Blazes are not my usual read. I favor and even subscribe to the Inspirational line but I just had to read one Blaze to see what they were like. This is the book I read. The story was so well written that I have gone on and read four more Blazes. Carrie Alexander has a wonderful flowing style with lots of dialogue and easy reading “white space” on her pages and superior characterization. If this book has got your feet wet, you might try “At Your Command” by Julie Miller which is Blaze on steroids.
Just for fun, I’d like to see some of these talented Blaze authors write an Inspirational. “Now there would be a story that would shake the stones of Rome.” (Just a little liberty with the bard.) Glad you liked the book.
Thanks,
Vince

Yes I am a readalholic and I don't want the 12 step program!!!
oh my, I gasped when I read
oh my, I gasped when I read the title of this blog as I thought newspaper and not book. I imagined some major scandalous problem on the front page. I like opposites attract romances. I tend to verr less for the Blaze romances but I did get one last year I want to read about political opposites.

Great line from the book…
I meant to add this line from a scene about amature night at a strip club.
… Lolita Leather slithered across the floor of the raised stage. Her supersized boobs made her look like an anaconda that had swallowed two beach balls.
Great sounding story
This one sounds good and this is a genre I tend not to read either. I have At Your Command in my tbr (basedon blogged recommendations) and will now have to add this one. It sounds fun. Thanks for the review
