This is the second book by DC about a small town in Texas called Salt Lick. This book focuses on Paige, a rich girl forced to find herself by her father and Spur, the new town vet, who grew up poor. The two lock horns a couple of times, but it is easy to see the attraction. Can they move forwrd with a relationship or will miscommunications break them up? I enjoyed this installment of the series, but not as much as the first one. At times, the interaction of Debbie Sue and Ed felt forced. I would have liked more Paige and Spur. Overall an enjoyable book.
