They met at a work party: he was considering buying the bank she worked for. She gave in to the passion between them, and agreed to a night of sex, but made him promise never to mention it again if they met again, concealing her face with a mask (she knew who he was). He buys the bank and sets about finding her after that night, when she left him. He finds her and makes her his PA, and she thinks he doesn't recognize her! They get close, they get tempted, but she doesn't want to give in because of her work and because she has a goal: to become a mother via IVF. She won't waste any more of her time on relationships with no future, and she thinks the hero only promises her weeks, months. They are brought together again after their break up (a little too conveniently!) by his mother who needs her company at a wedding.
This was a great story, I loved the dynamic between the hero/heroine, it was an enjoyable story. The story had a few small plot holes that didn't make sense, the motivation of characters could have been a bit stronger (i.e. Michael the cousin, Irena the mother, Natalie the ex-wife).
Rating: 4/5 stars, I needed a feel good read with no ick factors, and this hit the spot.
