Vivian Grace is an FBI agent on a mission to find a missing child. She is ordered to bring back ex-agent Ryan McBride. He left the FBI three years ago when a mission failed and a child died. Now another child is missing and the kidnapper has demanded that McBride work on the case.
This is the story of a man and a woman who are each battling their own personal demons. McBride has turned to drinking and smoking and Vivian has dedicated her life to finding missing children. McBride is a fallen hero who must pull himself together to find another missing child.
A really great story that depicts the hero's struggle to pull himself out of his dispair and start thinking of others and a heroine who has to handle her own nightmares.
This is not a Colby Agency story.

Nameless
I found the book to be a powerful description of how an agent who had been disgraced and released for an error in judgement that had actually been his supervisor's and not his error. McBride was not at fault for the child's death, but he blamed himself anyway. I really enjoyed how he pulled himself together and actually start living again.

I love Debra Webb's books but haven't gotten around to reading this one yet. I'm glad to know it is good~ although I expect that from Debra Webb so I'm not surprised.
