I happened across this at Amazon and I think it's pretty exciting...perhaps because it's another first but you know any time a book is picked up by another market, it's a good thing.
The Soldier's Homecoming is being released in Large Print by Thorndike Candlelight Romance. It is slotted for August 20.
I don't have pictures yet as the dh still has to put together his desk and set up his pc, but today I am working in my office! I have the desk, a brand new pc, a new filing cabinet and a futon. I love the futon. It gives me a place to read if I want, and it's more sleeping space for company. It has a very nice cushion that I found to be more comfortable than many sofa beds.
My newsletter has just been sent, complete with details of a new contest. This one is for everyone. Send an e-mail to donna@donnaalward.com for your chance to win a copy of Falling for Mr. Dark and Dangerous, some killer chocolate, a postcard, and who knows what else. During the course of the move I've gotten into the groove of shopping. VERY dangerous, folks. I see it, I buy it. However I would love to share some of those "catch my eye, touch my heart" kinds of things with a lucky reader so be sure to enter! I'll do the draw at the end of the month.
Anyway today is trying to rush some review copies of Falling For Mr. Dark and Dangerous since my author copies just arrived...an address mixup due to the move delayed them a bit. And I also have my contest winner's book ready to post. I see a long trip at the post office in my future!
Catch you on the flip side...

Congratulations
I like this cover of the book. I think they did a good job with it. Congratulations on getting your office set up and ready to go.
Have a good day.

Donna....
I second what Ellen said. This cover packs some real photographic drama. There's something so moody about it - and that's great for the story, IMO. It's sure to grab attention.
Congratulations on your new home, as well as your newest book, Mr. Dark and Dangerous. You've been a busy woman!

Hi ! I'm new . Congratulations on your new home!
I keep reading about your new home but haven't gone far enough back in the forrum and blogs to figure out where you moved to. Did you stay in Alberta? I love your books.

Thank you Kaelee!
And I love the spelling of your name. :-)
We didn't stay in Alberta...both of us are originally from New Brunswick and we had the opportunity to move to Nova Scotia. It is a morning's drive to see my mum now which is so cool. In fact, I'm going to see her next weekend and I'm taking my niece shopping....and then in August my mum is getting married and we are all going up for the wedding. Our very first weekend actually in the house, we had some of dh's family here. We've moved into a very nice neighbourhood and I think we're going to be really happy.

My name isn't
Hey my name is my husband's initials and then my initials but if we had been blessed with children it might have been dd name.
We are native Albertans who had the chance to live in Thunder Bay, Kingston, Ottawa and Montreal. When we both quit our jobs in Montreal to move back to Alberta we toured the Maritimes for a month. We had no intention of going to Newfoundland but all the people in the campground were headed there so we went. We both just loved all the touring we did. Now I can picture so many great views and everytime I eat seafood I go back in my mind..This was in 1970's so we really should try and get there again.
Please don't forget Alberta but I am looking forward to more of your books maybe set in all the maritme provinces. It is surprising how diverse they are. What a great world we live in.

Alberta Books
Well, Kaelee is quite pretty all on it's own...if you took my initials and my husbands, it would look like this: Dgadla. LOL
Don't fret about Alberta books. The one that comes out in January is set in a fictional place kind of in between Longview and Pincher Creek. Rumour has it that some future books...starting closer to the end of 09...will be taking place in the same general area. As long as editorial keep asking for cowboys, you'll keep getting Alberta! I do hope to set some around the maritimes though. It's so pretty and rich in personality.

Re Alberta books
Hey I was born in Bellevue so travel the highway between Longview and Lundbreck often. Before it was paved we used to see tons of wildlife along it -the highlight a pair of hawks mating. (My dumb husband watched them though his telephoto lens and never took a picture) We still see Golden Eagles once in a while.
However I am looking forward to some stories set in the Maritimes as well.
