Mallory has loved and lost—lost a lot of money. Businessman Torr McIver steps in to help her by offering a MOC. She has been numb for so long that it takes a move to a crumbling castle in the Scottish Highlands to wake her out of her stupor. Mallory now finds herself wanting to change the terms of their marriage, but how will Torr react?
This interesting twist on the MOC has the reader taking an emotional journey as Mallory’s peace unravels. She has quite the journey (besides the one to the Scottish hinterlands). There was a little too much repetition of her inner conflict for my taste; however, I enjoyed the majority of the book. I suspect Hart fans will love this read.
