NIGHT RISING by Chris Marie Green

This one has been languishing in my TBR pile~ what a mistake that was as it was FABULOUS!

SYNOPSIS: Dawn Madison's dad is missing.  They haven't been close in years, both coping with the death of Dawn's mother, a famous Hollywood actress.  Dawn was working as a stuntwoman but when her father goes missing, she returns back to L.A.  Who are these people her dad was working with?  The firm of Limpet and Associates has mysteries hidden in its walls, including Mr. Limpet himself~ or the Voice, as Dawn knows him as.  Why does he hide behind his Voice only?  Dawn is about to discover a whole new world... a world in which vampires do exist.

MY THOUGHTS: Wow, this is a phenomenal start to a new series.  Boy, oh boy, am I ever glad I have book 2 sitting in my review pile... and you can guess what I'll be reading soon! Chris Marie Green doesn't write your typical vampire story and this is not a romance by any means.  It's dark and eerie and action packed.  There's true depth to the characters as even the bad guys have their stories.  Phenomenal!!

Chris Marie Green...

This book isn't a romance but she is a romance author.  She wrote in the Bombshell line at least one or two books and she wrote a Blaze.  Slightly different name... Crystal Green I think was the name she used.

started this

I started this one last night. After reading your review thought I'd better get on it. Just two chapters in though.

I hope...

I hope you like it as much as I did, Deb!!!
