This was the most poignant and gripping love story I have read in a long time.  You can't help but fall in love with the characters, and you will not be able to put this book down until you finish reading every single page.  This book is excellent.  I give this book the highest rating I can: 10 stars!

Thirteen years ago, Yvonne Mitchelson lost her beloved family (mother, father, and twin sister), in a tragic automobile accident.  The accident left Yvonne, a promising ice skater, paralyzed and badly scared (emotionally and physically).  After five years of grueling physical therapy Yvonne was able to walk and even skate one last time in honor of her family.  However, the tragedy of losing her family has taught Yvonne not to get to close to anyone.

Michael Benjamin is the epitome of a successful playboy.  But, Michael's past also holds scars as deep as Yvonne's.  After Michael's wife deceived him and betrayed their marriage vows, he does not want to get too close to any woman.  More hauntingly, Michael can't get over the guilt he feels concerning his ex-wife's death.

***As I stated this book is excellent and deserves 10 stars!  It will make you laugh at times and it will also make you cry.  I really enjoyed the depth of emotions the book inspires.  This book reminds you how amazing true love is.  Because true love, ultimately has the power to conquer all obstacles (big or small): tragedy, pain, imperfections, and racial barriersSmile.
