This book is a bit unusual for a HP in that the first half of the book is the past, while the second half of the book is the present (usually the past is shown through brief flashbacks or a prologue or the first chapter). This was a bit confusing to me because I was reading the book and just waiting for the leap into the future, because the back cover made me expect the story to be about the reunion, not the past.
The hero used the heroine for revenge back when she was 18, then he found out he had no right to revenge. They had one rough emotional night of sex, and then she ran afterwards. She went to a male friend's place to hide, and the hero found her there in a bed and assumed she'd leapt into the other guy's bed. Six years later, we see the heroine is raising the hero's daughter, and the hero has moved to her town (why the sudden move? The writer could have made the hero deliberately seek the heroine out, instead of making it a coincidence). The heroine needs to decide if she should tell the hero that her child is actually his as well.
This was an ok book, a little unusual in it's format, but there was good chemistry and the eventual marriage proposal was fresh/unique to the couple.
The hero/heroine talked about "other relationships" during their separation, and the heroine said there had been no one, and the hero said there was no one for him either (I didn't know what "no one" meant to the hero though, no one important, or no one at all? I couldn't see a man going without sex for six years, especially when he had felt betrayed and rejected by the heroine).
Rating: 3/5 stars, an enjoyable, highly emotional (in a good way) read, with a few plot imperfections.

About HPs.... too bad you don't read 'em too often, probably 70% of the books I read/review will be HPs. I am reading lots of SDs though lately because I read some good recommendations. And of course a few paranormals, but I've got boxes of HPs in TBR!
