OH!!! I COULD JUST KICK MYSELF!!!!

Well, I've done it to myself.  I was in such a hurry to leave work last night, and I left by half read book behind.

I got on the bus, and sat down.  I reached into my back pack, and nothing. No book....Bloody Hell.

Well, I did have a back up, just incase I finished the book before I got home. So I started that one.  But darn, I wont be back to work till Monday evening, and I dont know if I can go two days without reading. So I will have to make do with this other book.

Why did I do that to myself..why oh why!!??Cry

Well, back to laundry.

It could be worse!

It could be worse! You could've left your backup too. You'll just enjoy it so much more after all the waiting. Sorry not much help, I know.

gotta remember

I'm off to my sister's later and got to remember to bring the book I'm reading. I'm only going til Wed or Thurs and I'm sure she'll keep me plenty busy so I only packed two other books. Oh well it'll be a good excuse to go to Value VillageSmile

RE: OH!!! I COULD JUST KICK MYSELF

HEE-HEE!  I've done that before.  Left home with no current Harl to read!  Oh No!!!  Does that mean I have to actually interact with people??  LOL -- of course, it does!  In reality, I am a Bloke that never shuts up when others are around -- I'm always talking.  When I DO leave for somewhere and fail to take a read with me, though, I feel NAKED (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I gotta' have me reads!

I always

Have a book, or a magazine.....pad pen..something to do.  Once I am sitting down, I need something to do.

I dont talk much around people, and when i am alone in a restaurant or something, I start listening to other conversations, or start staring at people.  So I need a distraction.

And I do feel nekkid if I dont have something to read

Books....dont leave home without 'em.

I feel your pain Terri. I've

I feel your pain Terri. I've done that more than once. What's wrse though is lots of times we eat at the dining hall here at work and i always go with a coworker. And she ALWAYS seems to get distracted or have to stop somewhere on the way back from lunch. And so many times... no book with me since we were eating together. ThenI'm stuck there for the 15-20 minutes it takes me to eat and I have nothing to read and no one to talk to! I now always take a book no matter what, in case she gets called away again. One lunch we drove over instead of walking since she had some deliveries to mae on post. i was SOO glad I had a book with me that day. I read 80 pages just sitting in the truck waiting for her to get back.

I know the feeling....

I've even totally LOST books before, never to find them again!  I hate to admit that, but it's true.  So, now, instead of carrying them in my hand, I always tote a purse big enough to slip a couple Harls in.  Also, I'm a planter - I sow books here and there in the places that I'll be stuck at during some point in time.  For instance, my car, my dMIL's place (hee hee), and at my husband's office in case I have to hang out for some reason.  I read books while I'm at my daughter gymnastic's practice, when I'm at the doctor's office, and just about anywhere that I have to wait.  I'm like Beonlyone, I hate the thought of sitting idle and having nothing to do but stare at people.  And I'm not about to have imaginary conversations on my cell - LOL!

The only issue I ever have about reading where there are others nearby is being occasionally interrupted.  I HATE THAT!  Makes me want to smack the interrupter upside the head! Innocent  Oops, is that too violent? <eg>
