One Nocturne Bite and Four Spice Briefs

Racing the Moon by Michele Hauf

Racing the Moon by Michele Hauf (Nocturne Bite, 2008)

Copied Blurb:

When the full moon rises, his urgent sexual desire becomes overpowering...and satisfying his demanding lust is the one way he can stop his transformation.

But now he’s stranded in the middle of nowhere, with a storm raging outside, and moonrise imminent. And only the beautiful stranger who rescued him can keep the wolf at bay. Only, she’s resisting his ardent seduction with all her might.

It’s not that she doesn’t ache for him every bit as hungrily as he does for her. Their mutual attraction is fierce and explosive. But they are very different species...and surrendering to her desire will call forth something much more terrifying than the wolf.

My Review:

I really enjoyed this story, I think it was a terrific introduction to the new ebook line of Nocturne Bites.  Michele Hauf created some new lore, and kept to some of the lore I saw in her Dark Enchantments contribution.  I can't wait to get my hands on some more Bites!

Favor Me by Jenesi Ash (Spice Brief, 2008)

Copied Blurb:

Mistress Diaries #1

Seduction is her business...and she approaches it like a businesswoman. She considers her current lover a “starter” benefactor, a launching pad for her “career” as mistress to increasingly powerful, wealthy men. Because she enjoys being desired more than the actual act of sex, she relishes the thrill of being watched by others while she submits to the desires of her lover. But her job becomes more complicated when the owner of the boutique where she buys her custom-designed lengerie, the tools of her trade, is murdered while she’s getting a fitting.

My Review:

An enjoyable tale of Mistress sex, splattered with a bit of intrigue.  I actually did enjoy it, although there was absolutely no emotional strings attached.

My Review: 3.5

The Mistress Diaries #2

Amaris, the feisty, hedonistic heroine of Favor Me, is back! And this time, the calculating , career-minded millionaire’s mistress is hotter than ever. Amaris relishes the control she maintains over Leon. He may be rich and influential, but when she wants to, she can bring him to his knees. But her sense of power is seriously undermined when she sees Marnie, Leon’s secretary, in action. Unlike Amaris, who must manipulate Leon with sex to get what she wants, Marnie simply tells Leon what to do, and he does it! As Amaris and Marnie square off in a power struggle over Leon, Amaris is prepared to go to any lengths to keep her man satisfied...and his secretary in her place.

My Review:

Another entertaining story with a mystery.  Although I wouldn't like to be like Amaris, and I most likely would not like her in person, I have enjoyed these tales of hers.

Mistress Diaries #3

In this third installment of The Mistress Diaries, the bawdy, naughty adventures of Amaris Martin, ambitious career mistress to a millionaire, Amaris’s lover Leon loses at a high-stakes Vegas poker game, and a night with Amaris is part of the bet. Rather than being outraged, Amaris is delighted--the man who won her is very sexy...and even richer than Leon! Approaching the night as a potential job interview, Amaris is dismayed to discover the guy’s already got a mistress who’s not too keen on the ménage a trois he has in mind. But by the end of the night, Amaris is sure she’s got herself a new benefactor…until she wakes up the next morning to find his dead body in her bed, and her rival claims Amaris killed him.

My Review:

I enjoyed this one also, but I think it was my least favorite of The Mistress Diaries.  However, I am not sure if it was my own likes and dislikes, or the not so great editing.  I will leave it at that.

Nocturne Bite

sound like the way to go for non Nocturne readers.

I really got to get to that Copeland soon if I'm gonna order Vegas

Nocturne Bites sounds

Nocturne Bites sounds great.  I don't have a device for ebooks yet but I may just have to read these on my computer!!

I love Nocturne...so I know I'll love this!

Hey Christa and Shelley!

Hey Christa!

I would definitely recommend this for readers who are hesitant to try the Nocturne line.  I forgot to mention in my review, this Bite was actually quite erotic, read similar to a Spice Brief, without the harsher language you get sometimes in erotica.  Very enjoyable!Smile

Hey Shelley!

If I were you, I would certainly give it a try.Wink  It is fairly short, so you wouldn't have to sit at your computer for too long.  You are in the market for an ebook device, though, aren't you?  Any luck deciding on what you might get yet?

Take Care,

Tammy

first month?

Is this the first month they are starting? Do you know how many will come out per month or just trial right now?

Hey Tammy No luck in

Hey Tammy

No luck in deciding what device to get yet.  I want to make the right choice where I'm going to be spending so much money.

I'll figure it out sooner or later!

Hey Christa and Shelley!

Hey Christa!

Yep, it is the first month for Nocturne Bites.  I think for now they will keep it to one a month, but I am sure they will up that as they become more popular.  The Spice Briefs are at 2 or 3 every month now.  And based on my enjoyment of the first Bite, I will definitely be getting next month's.

Hey Shelley!

Totally understandable.  Devices are very expensive, and very hard to find in stores to try out on your own.  Best of luck on your decision!

Take Care,

Tammy
