My first try with this author and I loved this book. Shannon Coyle is a do- gooder kind of lawyer. She always seems to have some cause for justice that she is fighting for. She just knows that those JohanDawn people are ripping people off and this time Shannon is going to put them away. She just needs proof. Rushing to work one morning, Shannon finds a man beaten and bloody lying in front of her office. She knows this guy. He's the homeless man she has seen at the beach on her jogs. She's seen that sad look in his eyes and has tried to get him to talk to her with no luck. Now here he is and he'll die if she doesn't do something.
When Mitchell Conner wakes up in the hospital, he has no memory of what got him there. But there is something familiar about the short fiesty woman staring at him from the foot of the bed. He doesn't want her help or anyones help. There is a reason he is feeling so lost and he is not sure he wants to know why. All he can remember is a voice saying "help me Daddy" and it is tearing him apart. Shannon knows that Mitch knows something about JohanDawn and if they could just work together, they could stop these people. She just has to convince him.
I really enjoyed this book. It is the last if a series of three books but it stands alone. I totally loved Shannon. She is fiesty and smart. And Mitch was yummy. This was a very good read and I will be looking for more by this author.

Margie...
I started with One Hot Target and was instantly hooked! And I've been slowly trying to find any and everything by Diane Pershing. So far I'm doing not too badly... but I'm going to have to check to see just what all exactly she did write... and then hunt them down!
If you liked this one, then you'll love One Hot Target and One Cool Lawman... all very wonderful stories!

Yes, I was instantly hooked. I just loved her writing style. I am going to read those other two from the series. I hope I can still find them here.
Margie :)
Well, if you can't let me know...
I was at the UBS yesterday... nope, the day before, and I saw both of them there.
She's a great writer, that's for sure!
