When Nessa is badly injured in a fall and ends up in a moat (dry, fortunately), her twin brother, a female impersonator, takes over her position as secretary to a fabulously wealthy and secretive entrepreneur, using very plausible amnesia to explain why she can't remember anything. What Vance-being-Vanessa discovers is a place full of malevolence, malice, spite, and not a little murder...
First rate, despite the implausible nature of the story. Babson will have you believing everything is possible. This would be a good one for Worldwide Mysteries down the road a bit.
