Ornament Exchange Photo

I finally found the cord that connects the digital camera to the computer. So I was finally able to upload a photo of the ornament Ronda sent me in the ornament exchange.

Ornament

It's a family ornament for the characters from my first book, Wanted Man.

I thought it was sincerely the best idea ever. I cried when I opened it, and I immediately decided to try to get an ornament to commemorate every book. What better time to remember the fun I had with my writing and the good friends I've found through this new venture than during the tree decorating when I'm usually counting my blessings anyway!

Cheers,

Ellen

Exactly Right

Hi FF,

You know, that's exactly what I thought. I never in a million years would have thought of it, but when I saw it--bingo! It was perfect.

Hi!

Hi Aurelene--I haven't seen you around in a while. Thanks for dropping in.

I love personal/memory ornaments like this one. I torment my family by telling the story of each ornament every year. It's cool now my boys have heard them often enough that they can fill in the blanks themselves.

Thanks,

Cool!

What a nifty idea.   I wish I had a creative bone in me, but alas, I didn't get that.  And you also reminded me that I need to find the cord for my camera/computer connection - thanks!

Hi Amanda!

Glad you liked the ornament. I was thrilled by it and impressed with Ronda's creativity too. I didn't know what to expect from the ornament exchange, but this was really special.

I'd love to do Syracuse!

I'd love to do Syracuse!  In March!  Do you know a couple of cool kids who could entertain a certain seven year old?!  I'd have to bring him if there was a chance of snow!!  Maybe the Hartman boys could rustle up one more Snow Dance for the occasion!Wink

Ronda

Snow

Hi Ronda,

We went skiing this weekend with a whole bunch of families. One crew flew in from Texas with 2 kids who'd never seen snow. We totally indoctrinated them. Snowballs, sledding, skiing, snow down the back of the neck, etc. We can help your sons!

The only wrinkle in this plan is that if you think my children will be anywhere near my conference hotel room, you don't know me (or them) very well. ;-)

This is for your professional development, dear. We can't be messing around. Cool

Here's what I suggest. Send your DH and sons somewhere snowy, like to visit Vieve and her dogs--they'd love that! You come to Syracuse and we'll pray like crazy that it's sunny and unseasonably warm there! Everyone is happy!

Wink
