The Outlaw Demon Wails is the sixth and latest book in the Hollows series. The Hollows is one of my two favourite urban fantasy series, the other being Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld.
I'm avoiding a detailed plot summary, so as not to spoil those who haven't read the series yet or who haven't picked up this volume yet. Rachel Morgan, the witch heroine of the series, really grows as a character in this book, having to come to terms with her heritage, her abilities and her motivations. As is typical of a series, not all questions raised in the earlier books are answered, and the ending of the book sets up the basic premise for the next one, which I can't wait to read.
I highly recommend this series, but I recommend reading them in order, starting with the first book Dead Witch Walking.
