Fabulous book! I think Emilie Rose might be my favorite Harlequin author right now. I love all her books, old and new. The story line, the characters, the emotion, side stories, development - all flawlessly written and delivered.
This is the story about Tracy Sullivan, and Cort Lander. Both have a lot to prove, and a lot of history. Cort edged out Tracy as their high school valedictorian10 years ago. They went to prom together, but things went sour and they haven't seen each other since then, really.
Tracy stayed at home, and Cort went far away. She's determined to become the first female principal - he wants to be a cardiologist. Cort comes home, however, when his infant son is foisted upon him. One he didn't even know existed. Somehow, he becomes Tracy's tenant, and she becomes his nanny.
It's all a business arrangement, until... well - Tracy propositions him. She's had a crush on him since the eleventh grade, and figures, she's a mature 28 year old woman. It's time for her to get what she wants. Unfortunately, she underestimates the small town effect, and she and Cort find themselves embroiled in an elaborate lie.
What will happen? And can true love over come their ambitious plans?
