Persuasion by Jane Austen

Anne Elliot was a very interesting Austen character. She adored her sea captain and feared that she'd lost him forever. Lady Russell seems to be a very silly character,
absolutely certain in her rightness. I loved that she was wrong about everyone.
She gave Anne bad advice not once, but twice. When you read Austen, you are
immediately immersed in this "realm of polite society." It makes me wish that I wrote regencies. I think Austen is the mother of romance as a genre.
