Phantom Waltz by Catherine Anderson

One glance.  That's all it takes.  Wealthy rancher Ryan Kendrick falls hard--and fast--for lovely Bethany CDoulter.  A beguiling mix of sass and shyness, neivete and maturity, she shares his passion for horses, has a great sense of humor, and can light up a room with her beauitful smile.  She's absolutely perfect--in every way but one...

A long-ago barrel-racing accident has left Bethany confined to a wheelchair.  In the years since, she has known both betrayal and heartbreak--and vowed never to open her heart to a man again.  She has even accepted the possibility that she'll never be able to enjoy a healthy intimate relationship--or have children of her own.  But there's something about handsome Ryan Kendrick.  Something that makes her believe she can overcome every obstacle.  Something that makes her believe in lifelong, lasting love.....

Catherine Anderson has quickly become my favorite mainstream author.  I love the way her heroines aren't always perfect.  I discovered her when I was in the midst of a huge weight loss which left me feeling disfigured and when most heroines are perfect, I needed something different.  I picked up one of her novels and was hooked!  I'm working my way through her backlist, a little at a time.

Great author

I have read several of her books and have several others in THE MOUNTAIN. I have this but have not gotten to it yet.
Congratulations on the weight loss. I would love to lose 50-100 lbs.

The Mountain! LOL

I have several in  my Mountain too!  My mountain just keeps growing!!!  I'm listening to Cherish now on my Ipod.  Thanks for the kudos, it's harder the second time around.  I goofed off and gained quite a bit back, so now I'm working on it again.
