I got a letter back on the ms I'd submitted in December to SSE. It's not quite right for them, though the theme is. I was asked to send any other projects I think might work for them which I'm told is huge, though.
On another note, tomorrow is my pitch with an editor and an agent! I think I'm having an anxiety attack! At least the ms is close to ready finally so that's a good thing. I've got the black moment in place and I'm not stressing over that now. Just fix it up some more and we're good to go. I woke up in the night and paced in circles before my sleep induced mind reminded me that I needed to sleep! I dropped out like a dead light bulb after that. Lol Nerves, I know. Meeting the editor and agent at a casual dinner setting tonight should help with those crows and butterflies. I hope!

Thanks
Frenchie. It really wasn't unexpected so it didn't sting or bite the way it might've if he hadn't seen it before.

Pitched
and I think it went well Claire. Thanks. I'll post about it later today if I get the chance after getting some writing done.

Rejection--the feeling's personal.
Dear Lisa,
I understand the anxiety attack thing. I go to such lengths before I do any agent or editor pitch to try and stay calm, but then I sit down in the chair across from someone who stands to hold my writing life in his or her hands, and my mind goes blank. Can't wait to hear how you made out.
