A Poem

I stumbled across this poem today while reading a four year old "Annie's Mailbox" article. I thought that it suited the day, as my great-grandmother passed away early this morning. I feel as though finding this poem on this particular day was no coincidence. Always say "I love you" to those you love. You never know when there won't be a someday any longer...

The Time Is Now, Author Unknown

If you are ever going to love me,
Love me now, while I can know
The sweet and tender feelings
Which from true affection flow,
Love me now while I am living,
Do not wait until I'm gone
And then have it chiseled in marble,
Sweet words on ice-cold stone.
If you have tender thoughts of me,
Please tell me now.
If you wait until I m sleeping,
Never to awaken,
There will be death between us,
and I won't hear you then.
So, if you love me, even a little bit,
Let me know it while I am living
So I can treasure it.

Jana I am so sorry.

I never knew my grandmothers but I lost my mom a few years ago and it still hurts.

I don't know what to say to comfort you. Is there anything you want to tell us about her? I always feel better when I tell others how special my mom was.

Sympathies Jana.  I lost my great-aunt 6 months ago.  Today would have been her birthday.  Best wishes for your family.
