Poseidon's Daughter by Jessica Hart
In 1992, they had sex in Romance. My how the years have changed. I know there are still behind-closed-doors scenes, but this was beach sex. Wonderfully done too.
Set on a small Greek isle (go ahead and sigh, it was lovely) the heroine is there to illustrate a childrens book of Greek myths, the hero...well, he is just a mystery. Could even be smuggling ancient artifacts. You don't have any ides (OK, so you know he's a good guy because that is the books prommise, but you don't KNOW) because the whole thing is in her POV, as was done in the 90s.
Beautifully set, yummy food descriptions, a wee bit of intrigue...all around great story. It is hard to see the hero character arc without his POV though. I need to learn how to read that.
