If you love some laughter along with your romance you will love this book! If you liked the Pink Panther movies, with Peter Sellars, you would love this book. I can't say enough about how well written, how funny and how very entertaining it is.
Darius Maxwell III is the possible heir apparent to the throne of the tiny country of Masolimia in the Pyrenees between Spain and France. He doesn't want to be the "Prince" but if it can be proved that he is indeed the heir he will do his duty. Darius is very happy with his life as an art dealer but his mother has other ideas. She has arranged to be "kidnapped" in hopes it will force Darius to accept the position as prince. She has checked herself into a plush hotel on the Riviera!
Serena Gregory, dermatologist, lives a very structured life taking care of her patients while working long days. The only time she really lives is when she is on vacation. She is extremely disappointed that her Caribbean cruise, clothing optional, has been cancelled because the ship has been impounded by the IRA. Since she is forced to be home all day she has noticed her mysterious neighbor seems to be somewhat of a shady character. Serena overheard one of his visitors mention something about his mother being kidnapped. Oh my! She is determined to find out what is going on. Her friend and also a tenant in the condo complex, Ariel, had agreed to help find out what is going on next door.
Once Serena meets Darius she finds out what is really happening and starts helping to make a plan to recover a painting that holds the key to just who is the rightful heir to the Masolimia throne. The plot to recover the painting brings a variety of people into the mix.
The cast of characters is simply wonderful, the story hilarious and entertaining. If you need something to bring on a happy mood in your life find a copy of this book!
