This is the second in Sarah McCarty's "Promises" series. Very hot. Former marshall Cougar McKinnely has made a promise to Mara Kincaid. He has vowed to protect her since he rescued her from a bordello where she had been drugged. Cougar took her virginity not knowing that she was drugged and being forced to become a whore. Now he plans to marry her and place her under his protection. She doesn't remember who "raped" her or how many had sex with her and Cougar is hoping that she doesn't remember until he's had time to tell her his role. This is a really good story. I'm loving this series. Sarah McCarty has become one of my new favorite authors. These stories are very erotic and leave nothing to the imagination in the love scenes so caution to those who may be sensitive about such things.
