Perdita James has left a great job and a not so great relationship back in London and returned to her home town to look after her ailing widowed mother. Her new boss, Edward Merrick, a widower with three children, has left London to try to save his kids from bad influences. Perdita last relationship was with a divorced father who always put his children first. She wants someone to value her first and foremost so when she finds herself falling for her new boss, who has those three teenagers, she fights the attraction with all her might. It's very hard to do as she sees her boss at work and also when she's at her mother's place as he lives next door. Can they learn to compromise and trust in each other?
