Q&A with Author Cindy Kirk

We're very thrilled today to be talking with fabulous SSE author Cindy Kirk about the latest book in her MEET ME IN MONTANA series, YOUR RANCH OR MINE?.

Cindy, where did you get the idea for YOUR RANCH OR MINE?  

I love "reunion" stories and stories with "secrets."  This book has both.

* Tell us about the hero of the book.  

Now a successful architect, Mitch Donavan is a self-made man.  With a mean drunk for a father and an absent mother, he drew strength from his friends and caring adults in his life. 

* Tell us about the heroine. 

Anna Anderssen was the pampered princess in her family and a beauty pageant winner.  Her life was forever changed because of the summer she spent  with Mitch, the town's bad boy.

* What life-lesson do your H/H have to learn before they can find their happily-ever-after?  

Definitely forgiveness 

* Is there any particular significance in the setting?

This book, which can stand alone, is actually the middle book in the "Meet Me in Montana" trilogy about three friends in the fictional town of Sweet River, Montana.  The first book CLAIMING THE RANCHER'S HEART was released in March.  The last book, MERRY CHRISTMAS, COWBOY will be out in November.

* What was your favorite scene to write?  

The scene where Anna reveals what happened to the baby. 

* Do any beloved characters from your previous books show up in this one? 

Since this is part of a trilogy, all the characters from CLAIMING THE RANCHER'S HEART are back.  But again, you can read this book and enjoy it without reading the other two (although I hope you want to read them too!)

* Why will readers enjoy this book?  

Anna and Mitch face issues we've all faced in our life.  Like them, some of our responses we're proud of, others not so much.  I think it's easy to identify with them.
