I think March was an excellent reading month for me. The New-to-You mini-challenge is always fun, and it's a challenge I wouldn't mind doing again this year. Though my personal reading totals are down by 2 books over last year, I've actually read more as the page counts this month have averaged between 250 - 300 pages per book, where as last year I read mostly HP's. So I'm very pleased with my reading totals! And as a Team, we Quiet Canadians are three books higher than last year to this time!
This month's mini-challenge introduced me to the Kimani and Nocturne imprints. I'm very happy that I've experienced both these lines and I'll definitely be reading more. I chose a mini-series for my first Nocturnes. Not only did this give a taste of the line, it introduced me to four authors I had not yet read. This particular series also had various paranormal aspects - vampires, familiars, demons and faeires. I highly recommend the "Dark Enchantments" Nocturne mini-series, you can get each book in the eBoutique. My favourite of the new authors is Adrianne Bryd; what a truly talented author! Also worthy of special mention are Tessa Radley, Julie Cohen, Nina Bruhns and Pat White. I know I'll be reading all of the new authors I've read this month again and I'm sure that will be a pleasurable experience.
