THE RANCHER NEEDS A WIFE (Bright Lights, Big Sky series book 2) by Terry McLaughlin, HSR #1400 Feb 07

My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this book. Not as much as book 3 but a close second. This is Maggie and Wayne's story.

I really love a book with seemingly polar-opposite characters. The old adage--opposites attract. Reminds me of me and my husband. While we seem polar-opposites to others, at the core we have a lot of the same basic beliefs. We compliment each other as I believe Maggie and Wayne do.

Synopsis: Maggie Harrison Sinclair returned to her childhood home intending to stay long enough to recover from her failed marriage. Wayne Hammond, a settled rancher, knows better than to get involved with a woman that's ready to cut-and-run. But there's a connection neither can deny and neither want to fight. Can Wayne and Maggie's hearts survive the temporary arrangement? Or can Wayne convince Maggie Montana has more to offer than another lonely big city?

Really wanted to see how she pulled off the H having dated Ellie in the first book

It's really not too much of

It's really not too much of an issue in the book. It's mentioned by Ellie when Maggie is talking to her about Wayne. But Ellie says point blank there was no chemistry. And it's brought up again at dinner. But Wayne handles it like a champ. Good series.
