Patricia Thayer has written a heart warming story about a young woman left to operate a run down ranch. Rachel Hewitt is ham strung as she only gains full control of the ranch when she turns thirty. In the meantime her ranch foreman has a heart attack so she hires a drifter, who keeps saying he is going to move on. Then her sister's baby arrives at the door and also a young teenager shows up looking for work. The mix is there for an unconventional family. This is a fun book to read with just enough conflict and love. Very good read.
