Last year, my friend, Diana Holquist, posted a reading challenge on her blog. I stole her idea and we had quite a fun time here on eHarlequin posting our reading lists. I thought we might as well try it again this year, especially since I found some great books and new authors by reading the lists other folks posted!
So, here we go. You post 12 books you're planning to read in 2009. Doesn't have to be all romance--it's tons of fun to see the range of reading we all do.
Here are the 12 books I've preselected.
- Natural Born Charmer--Susan Elizabeth Phillips. This was on my 2008 list and will continue to be on my list for as long as I'm reading books. Done.
- How to Tame a Modern Rogue--Diana Holquist. She's the godmother of the list so she deserves a place of honor. Plus she's my buddy and I've read a bunch of drafts of this already but haven't seen the finished work. Done
- A Cowboy's Redemption--Jeannie Watt. I don't miss a Watt book, no matter watt. Heh. Done.
- What I Did for Love--Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I can NOT wait. Done.
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows--J.K. Rowling. I read this in 24 hours the day it was released. We were driving home from the beach and I devoured the book. Yum. I'm going to read it out loud to my 4th grader this year. I'm looking forward to seeing things I may have missed during that rush read.
- Fever 1793--Laurie Halse Anderson. I love her writing. I bought this for my older son for Christmas and I'm looking forward to stealing it back pronto. Done.
- The Eleventh Man--Ivan Doig. Doig's novel, Dancing at the Rascal Fair, is one of my all-time favorites. His new one combines sports, war, and a writer, all topics I love. Highly anticipated book! Done
- Too Good to be True--Kristan Higgins. Higgins was new-to-me in 2008. I loved the book of hers I read last year. Looking forward to a new one. Done.
- A Kid to the Rescue--Susan Gable. Susan is responsible for my career so I'm obligated to read her books.
I would read them anyway, actually, because she's so good! Done. - A Dance with Dragons--George R.R. Martin. I doubt this book will actually be out in 2009. I'm putting it on my list in the hope that I can manifest it somehow. It's been toooo long, George.
- How Green was my Valley--Richard Llewellyn. Another old favorite. I thought I might read it again and see if my older boy would be old enough to enjoy it. Done
- TBD--I'm saving this spot for one I scoop out of the recommendations others may post. I wonder what will catch my eye/mind/heart the way Not Even if You Begged (Francis Ray) did last year.
So that's my list. What's on yours?

Connections and Great Reads
Hi Tammy,
Please don't apologize for not getting to a book last year, even if it was my book!
I know how inundated we all get with wonderful things to read! At least books don't wilt or get stale--we can enjoy them when we have the time and the motivation!
Your list was so interesting to me. A lot of my favorite authors were represented.
Holly Jacobs was another new-to-me author last year and I loved her book. I think I'll like the PTA mom stories too. I first met her through the Supers thread here and then in person when Susan Gable introduced us. She's so nice!
Cara Summers is in my RWA chapter--what a wonderful, gracious, and smart lady. She's helped me out so much over the years. I love her writing!
And I'm dying to read one of the Evie books. Have you read others from that series?
Take care, Tammy.

Hmmm, I need to think on
Hmmm, I need to think on this and decide what 12 to pick.
I only have one picked so far that's a TBR and NOT a review book. Picking review books would be cheating for me since I know I have to read those. LOL
edited to add: I did think of a couple more. Still need to think it through but slowly I'm coming up with some...
1. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Yes I actually am one of few people who have NOT read the series yet! LOL
2. The Shack by William P Young (reading now) - I've heard so much about this book from friends at church and other places that i had to read it myself. So I started the audio today.
3. Dewey: The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched the World by Vicki Myron and Bret Witter - this is another one I've heard about a lot. So I decided I need to try this one. The story behind the cat ending up at the library is what caught my attention. Then there's the fact Dewey looks like a furrier version of my boy, Aker, who is on my lap right now actually.

Deep thought
Hi Kelley,
I actually spent quite a bit of time coming up with my list tonight. I wanted to include books I'd commit to so it couldn't just be a whim. This is serious business.
Or not.
I had a fun time cruising author web sites to see who had what coming out this year as I was composing my list. I'm doing a workshop on author web sites for my RWA chapter in Feb. so my meanderings counted as research.
I haven't read Twilight either. I'm not a vampire girl really, so I don't know if I ever will. I did enjoy the first few Anne Rice vampire books, but that was a long time ago and I think my tastes have changed.
I'll be waiting to see what you put on your list!

List
I had to pull out my "booknotes" book that has my tbr written down. As I review a book for the challenge, it gets checked off.
So, here's 8 of my much longer than 12 list of books:
The Kommandant's Girl - Pam Jenoff
Twilight by Stephanie Meyer (yeah, I'm another one that hasn't read the series but I've ordered all the books)
The Writer's Journey - Vogel
Impoverished Miss, Convenient Wife - Michelle Styles
A Wrinkle in Time - reading this starting tonight with my 2 girls
Wives and Daughters - Elizabeth Gaskell
Halifax at War - nonfiction for research
Suite Francaise - I have wanted to read it ever since I saw the cover when it was first released
There is a dearth of category on this list, so I'm saving the last four slots for that. The only ones I have in my tbr at the moment are a few I downloaded during the free e-book thing over the holidays. But that always changes. And with the anniversary celebration giving away free books starting at the end of the month, I'll be reading a bunch of those.
I have a feeling those 16 books will be getting lots of eharl reviews, lol!

Donna's List
Hi Donna,
I'm so jealous of your notebook. I do love a good list. (And any list of books qualifies as "good" in my mind.)
My kids and I read A Wrinkle in Time together. I loved it so much as a kid but it didn't work for us. I'm not sure if it was the boy not girl issue, if it's not suited to my read aloud style, or if my younger son was just too young. Hmm. I hope your girls love it. I read it so many times when I was a kid, I was really disappointed by the boys' lack of enthusiasm.
Suite Francaise is wonderful. I really enjoyed it. I don't remember the cover, though. I think my sister lent me her copy because I know I don't own it.
Halifax at War-is this dry, research history or something good to read? I love history but haven't read much the past few years.
Thanks for sharing your plans!
Ellen
P.S. This is the second time in 3 days I've seen an Elizabeth Gaskell book on someone's list. Is she having a career rebirth or is this just weird serendipity? I loved North and South when I read it.

Hmmm
The only ones I know for sure are the Cleo Coyle Coffeeshop Mysteries, because I have them all here, and the books by my pals at Cigars, because otherwise, I don't know what books are coming out, and I tend to choose month to month.
I am reading Harlequin Intrigues now, but again, it's a month to month thing. I keep an eye out for favorite author releases, but I can't say I plan as far ahead as you do, Ellen. *G*

Planning
Hi Sam,
Planning. It's funny. My list is a mix of things I knew I would read and some that I researched last night. I have a few authors that I always read if they have a release out, so I checked their web sites last night. Guy Gavriel Kay doesn't seem to have a 2009 release, J. Robert Lennon does, but I wasn't sure I'd like it. Chuck Palahniuk has a 2009 release, but it's hardcover and I wasn't sure I'd buy it and his can be hard to get from the library because they're popular. I've been waiting for some Mary Balogh rereleases but they seem to be coming in 2010. Etc.
I actually had a ton of fun doing this research and thinking about books, author web sites, and author careers.
Glad you shared your thoughts!
Ellen
P.S. I have a second window open where I'm brainstorming titles for your Cigars post. Will submit in a few moments. They're all useless, but I like to try to be helpful.

Really...
You do research on your reading.. I am impressed. I just kind of think "I need a book" and go find one. ;) Well, not entirely, but a decent percentage of the time. My husband finds an author, like William Gibson, and just reads a whole stack of books by that person, burns out, then on to the next. Sometimes we read series together, like the JD Robbs (though we have burnt out on those) or the Charlaine Harris's... series are easy. When the "I need a book" urge pops up, I will do some research to see if someone has something coming out among my faves, but I guess I am somewhat spontaneous on that score, since my reading moods shift, and I need to get what will satisfy in the moment. This is why ebooks are good for me, because I sometimes find at 11pm on a Sunday that I need a book... right now.... LOL
And thanks for the titling attempts -- believe me, all help is welcome. Titling these books has been impossible!

Have I not mentioned the Technical Writing??
Sam--I do research on everything.
Well, everything that involves decision making. I don't like to do research for my novels. I have done it, but I don't like to.
Hmm. I wonder why that is?
Actually, though, the book research is more to keep up with favorite authors. I am a very loyal reader. If you hook me (this can be hard), I stick with you. So for this list, I was checking up on my must-read authors to see if there were any books to anticipate this year.
Glad you appreciated my title attempts. If Diana comes by you might get some good ideas. She's a super creative person.

My 12 --
1) Once Upon a Valentine's by Holly Jacob. Love her PTA series. Can't wait to read the final one. Hope Holly's proposal gets accepted for more PTA books in the future.
2) Married in Seattle by Debbie Macomber. I enjoy quite a few of her books looking forward to this one.
3) Strange Bedpersons by Jennifer Crusie. I read Getting Rid of Bradley and really enjoyed it. I hope this one is just as enjoyable.
4) Talk Me Down by Victoria Dahl. New author for me. Read the review and thought I'll try it.
5) More NASCAR - love this series, so any that come out I read.
6) Her Kind of Hero by Diana Palmer. Love her books.
7) About That Man; Along Came Trouble; and Ask Anyone by Sherryl Woods. I enjoy her books especially The Rose Cottage Sisters series and The Sweet Magnolias series.
8) Fireside by Susan Wiggs. I've read her The Lakeshore Chronicles series. Favourite Author.
9) Second Chance Pass; Temptation Ridge and Paradise Valley by Robyn Carr. Can't miss her new series. Loved her Virgin River series.
10) A Soldier for Keeps by Jillian Hart. Enjoy the McKaslin Clan and read all that I can find.
11) Tailspin by Catherine Coulter. FBI series - one each year - keeps me in suspense the whole book. Can't get my fill. This is her fourteenth book I believe.
12) Travis's Appeal by Marie Ferrarella. Started reading Kate's boys and this is one more in the ejoyable series.
That's my twelve or so books. They should last me until the summer then I'll have more favourites to read. Looking forward to the lists to discover new books I haven't thought of reading. I want to read Harry Potter series but waiting until my great nephew finishes them.
Nothing more relaxing than a good book and a cup of tea.
Lots of romance
Hi--Love your list. Some favorite authors are on there and some great books.
I have to recommend Strange Bedpersons. I think it's one that gets mixed reviews, but I really, really love it. I've read it so many times, it's thoroughly beaten up. There is a scene in there that I wish I'd written, it's so funny.
Thanks for sharing your list!
Happy reading,

I'll give it a shot...
I'm not sure if I could list 12 books (not that I couldn't or wouldn't want to read 12 cuz that's certainly not the case!) but like Sam, I like to pick and choose as the months go on. But, I do know there are a few on my mind so here they are:
1). Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult (recommended by my agent.)
2) Twilight by Stephanie Myers (my curiosity over what all the hulabaloo is about cannot be assuaged without seeing for myself why everyone is going NUTS about this series.)
3) The entire Harry Potter series. (I know...what? I confess, I haven't read a one yet but I love the movies.)
4). A Kid To The Rescue by Susan Gable (I'm quite a fan of hers and I have two of her previous titles that are on my keeper shelf.)
5). Night Huntress by Yasmin Galenorn (I'm actually reading this right now)
And off the top of my head, that's what I've got but no doubt I will find more later. Have I mentioned I'm terrible at making lists?

Why am I not surprised...
Kim--you're not a list maker? Why is this not surprising to me?
(Kim pretty much defines "pantser.")
Jodi Picoult is an author with whom I have a love/hate relationship. I have loved many of her books and I continue to read them, but there are times when I feel manipulated and, therefore, a little bit dim for having fallen into the same trap once again. I read the notes about Plain Truth on Amazon and it's one I haven't read. I'll be interested to hear what you think. Have you read others of hers, Kim?
Thanks for sharing your list--I know it can't have been easy for you to write it in the first place.

Thank you for recognizing my handicap!
Yes, the list part was hard but I'm trying to change my penchant for chaos by at least attempting to put my thoughts into some kind of order so...I need the practice!
I haven't read anything by Picoult but my agent said she was a good study (and a good read, of course) so her book is more research than something I would go out and buy for pleasure. But I have a feeling it will be pleasurable research!

Sliding off topic as usual
Oops. Whenever we do these lists, this is what happens. I get sidetracked by book discussions! Goodie!!
So, Kim, did your agent recommend that specific Picoult book? I have to agree that there are times when her writing is masterful and definitely something I'd love to be able to emulate. I think My Sister's Keeper is the one I'd recommend, but then, I haven't read Plain Truth.
Recently another friend's agent suggested she read Ain't She Sweet, which is my absolute least favorite Susan Elizabeth Phillips book. I kept asking "why" that particular book but I didn't get a satisfactory answer. (I know lots of folks love that one--the heroine rubs me the wrong way.)

Awwwww...thanks, guys, for putting me on your 2009 TBR list. And Kelley, you already read it, so thank YOU!
I don't have a list. I have a stack of books by my bed, waiting for my attention. I have more books in the exercise room and office, waiting for me. And I have the books I have yet to discover that I need. (I SHOULD make a list because I have Christmas gift cards from Borders I've yet to spend. <G>) I think I'm behind on a couple JD Robb books, and as I love Eve and Roarke, I must get that figured out. (So, a list would be helpful, Ellen. I'll try to give it some thought.)
Holly's Christmas and Valentine's books are on the top of my pile. I read the Thanksgiving book last night. Fun stuff. :-)

Providing Focus
Hi Susan,
Of course A Kid to the Rescue is on my list. I'm so excited for it!
I have lots of books on my nightstand as well. I don't think I put any of them on my list, though. Some of them have been on the nightstand since last Christmas and are just waiting for me to admit I'm not ever going to read them. Others are waiting for the right mood.
But the list is different. These are books I'm definitely going to read because they've caught my interest that much. It's more of a focused TBD than a TBR.
See what I'm doing here? Helping Kim learn to make lists and Susan to have focus. I'm like a life skills guru, right here at eHarlequin. Heh. Or not.
Actually, I'm fairly good at wasting time so if anyone wants to learn that skill, they can hang around and take notes.
Thanks for stopping in, Susan. I'll expect to see a Focused List from you sometime soon.

We're to pick 12? No way. I like to pick and choose as the year wears on but...I do know a few. I'm also on the lookout for a Jodi Picoult book, simply because I see her everywhere and want to know what all the fuss is about.
Lori Foster's My Man Michael. I love Lori's characterization skills and her heroes are mouth-watering.
I'm reading Amy Knupp's The Secret She Kept, Maya Banks' Desire (can't think of the name) and JAK's latest now. (Yes, I read multiple books at a time.)
Acheron, Sherilyn Kenyon
Hmmmmmm....
Someone mentioned SEP's Ain't She Sweet? I. LOVE. This. Book. If you want to read about an unredeemable character (heroine) who you simply can't like and find yourself rooting for her in the end, this is the book for you. I still don't know how SEP did it. I hated SugarBeth. But by the end? OMG.
Still thinking....
Oh! The Secret Life of Bees. Haven't read it but it comes highly recommended so...

Kay's List
Hi Kay,
I'm laughing because I mentioned Ain't She Sweet and I know you love that book. I always feel bad admitting there's anything SEP wrote that I don't love, but I just don't like Sugarbeth and I'm not that fond of the hero either. Talk to me about the Chicago Stars or Match Me if You Can or even the one with the golfer--they're all favorites. Weird how things work in the reading world--sometimes even a great book just doesn't land for everyone.
I'd recommend that you start with a Picoult book other than Nineteen Seconds. I read that one last year and found it very well-written, gripping, and devastating because of the intersection of the story and my own sons' ages. I know your son is about the same age as my older guy and I think you may have a similar reaction. It was wrenching. I did enjoy My Sister's Keeper, though. It got passed around from one of my cousins to the next for an entire summer.
Thanks for sharing your list with us. I love this book chatting stuff!

P.S. Amy's book is on my right away list too. I loved the first Salinger Sisters books--Amy's sense of humor and the way she grounds books in reality work so well for my taste.

Well, I will have to read Patrick's book as soon as it comes out. Just for comparison's sake, not for any other reason. Hee.
Cheers,
Ellen

plan ahead books?
Wow, you people are so organized. Books come to me or I impulse buy. I don't plan ahead. Too easy to slip behind in my reading and then I feel guilty. I hate that.
But I belong to a book club--two, actually, if you count the one in my Spotlight on Sentinel Pass series--and we do have a few titles lined up:
Jan: American Wife, Curtis Sittenfeld & DADDY BY SURPRISE, me (we always do my books in the release month)
Feb: Age of Reason, Thomas Payne (really old, like 1776 old)
March: The Great Turning, David Korten (non-fiction, I think)
April: the latest Oprah pick, can't remember the name
May: Just Breathe, Susan Wiggs & PICTURE PERFECT WIFE, me
That's all the further we got, but I plan to include my Rita reads and my pals' books, including Susan's, of course. And one of my characters is reading: Aragon by Christopher Paolini.
I might check out some of these other suggestions. Thanks for doing this, Ellen.

reading, reading, reading
I just got my Rita books. Can't wait to finish this book so I can read. Strange as this sounds, most of the time I pick the books that my characters, who belong to the Wine, Women and Words Book Club, pick to read, but this time, my character picked a book I really don't care to read. Tough, apparently. She committed to it in print, so now I have to read it. Yeah, that is wierd. I admit it.
Fun topic, Ellen. I just posted in your thread.
Kim, names! I agonize over my characters' names. I hate to think how much effort would go into picking my own name. I used to think I wanted to be Jill. That's what Mom wanted to name me, but was overruled by my bossy older sisters who adored Deebbie Reynolds. But now I know two Jills and I'm not like either of them. Not even close.
Sam, I saw hat cool Twittter thing in the side bar. What's that about?

Hi Deb
I think maybe you meant to post your second comment in the Supers thread? Not that it's not welcome here.
But I think it may have strayed a bit.
Is The Story of Edgar Sawtelle the Oprah book? I got that for Christmas and had just started it when I got my Rita books so I've set it aside. I think you asked a few days ago if I liked The Given Day by Dennis Lehane and I forgot to answer, "Yes!"
So nice that your book club reads your books. My book discussion group at church reads mine. That's a little awkward for this nice Catholic girl, but they seem to enjoy them. Thanks to my group and my dad's cronies, I probably have one of the larger male senior citizen fan bases in the Harlequin line.
Eragon is a decent book. You can skip the boring parts without losing much. Paolini needed better editing or revising or something, but it's not a bad read if you like sword and sorcery type of fantasy. Have fun! By the way, which character is reading that one? The single mom with the kids?
Thanks for sharing your books. I love your book club from Sentinel Pass idea.

My list
Hi everyone--
Ellen--great blog idea.
Kim and Ellen--Before I get to my list I want to weigh in on the Jodi Picoult books. I have read many of them and I love her writing. I would recommend Plain Truth to someone who has never read her. It was my first by her and a good starting point. My Sister's Keeper is also a good one as is my personal favorite of hers--Salem Falls.
Now to my list:
Kill For Me by Karen Rose (her new one coming out in Feb.)
Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult!
Season of Swans by Celeste de Blasis (I read the first two in this trilogy and must get this one read soon!)
Silent in the Sanctuary by Deanna Raybourn
Before the Storm by Diane Chamberlain
Suspicion of Madness by Barbara Parker (I love this series but I am behind in reading it.)
Grave Secrets by Kathy Reichs (I'm behind on the Tempe books also)
Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver (recommended by my dd who loves her books and an author I have always wanted to try)
The Temptation of the Night Jasmine by Lauren Willig (her new one due out this month)
Comanche Moon by Catherine Anderson (a must read I am told)
Finish the Bloodrunner trilogy by Rhyannon Byrd
Deadly Deceptions by Linda Lael Miller
Happy reading everyone!
Mary

PA and Books
Hi Mary,
I'm from PA, too. Born in Latrobe, grew up in Scranton, went back to Pittsburgh for college.
Thanks for the recommendation for Plain Truth. I'm curious to see what Kim thinks after she reads it! Barbara Kingsolver is a big favorite of mine and Prodigal Summer is, in my opinion, one of her best. The Supers thread occasionally turns into a Kingsolver fan board.
I saw the title, Comanche Moon, on your list and I thought, "I've read that!" but I couldn't remember it. Turns out Larry McMurtry has a book with the same title. That's the one I read. Funny.
I read the info about Silent in the Sanctuary on Amazon. Boy, that sounds fantastic. I may pick it up for my mom so I can "share" with her. Thanks for the head's up on that exciting sounding read!
I'm so glad you shared your list!

Hi again
Hi Ellen--
I was born in Philly, grew up in the suburbs, went to college at Lock Haven, lived with my family in the Pittsburgh area for 11 years, then moved back east to Reading 21 years ago and we are still here!
Thanks for the rec on Prodigal Summer being one of her best. It is my dd's favorite of hers also. I have read McMurtry's Comanche Moon also--great book and mini-series. The one I listed by C. Anderson I believe from what I've heard is the book of hers to read. It was reissued last year.
I love reading other people's to read lists. I seem to find more books to read and books I have in common with others. I believe you wrote Dancing at the Rascal Fair is one of your favorite books. I read that years ago and always wanted to read more of Doig's books.
BTW, Silent in the Sanctuary is DR's 2nd book. The first on is Silent in the Grave and is very good. She has a 3rd book coming out this year.
Nice chatting with you--
Mary

Ivan Doig
Hi Mary,
Ivan Doig wrote a whole series of books based on the characters from Dancing at the Rascal Fair. The stories are set at different points in time. I loved those books. I have a hard time figuring out why he's not a more popular writer.
I love seeing what people are planning to read also. It's always interesting to find out why a particular book resonates with a reader. For me, I think part of the appeal of Doig's books comes from my early love of Westerns.
Take care,
Ellen
P.S. I don't think I've been to Reading--the closest was probably a trip to see Thomas the Tank Engine "live" at Strasburg about 8 years ago. My older boy was a Thomas fiend.

Doig's books
Ellen--what drew me to DATRF was the Scotland-Montana connection. Our library system does have all of his books. I would like to read his newest so I will have to put it on my list of books to get from the library someday--sigh!

Reading
I haven't picked a reading list for 2009 yet. I am a avid reader, have been since childhood. Read on average 2-3 novels a week. I will go without sleep in order to read. Now that I have my Ipod Touch I keep a few books on that for reading (I have 63 on it currently).
I might finally get into Diana Gabaldon's Lord John books, its a spin off from the Outlander books that I loved (and still reread from time to time).
An
Echo in the Bone By Diana Gabaldon I am eagerly waiting to read this book!
Inside the Mind of BTK By John Douglas. I am actually disappointed that I haven't read this book yet.
But other than those books I am just eager for what books I might find this year.
I am so impressed with all
I am so impressed with all of you and your lists! I don't think I have ever really planned ahead what I will read for a year. That said:
I have the four books in Stephanie Meyers Twilight Series--they are waiting in my TBR
Reviving Ophelia by Mary Pipher, PhD
(Okay, that's 5 books, how am I doing?)
All Medicals that come into the house via the subscription reader's service.
Other than that, it will be anything that catches my eye at the moment I finish one book and need another book to read.

Sleep or Read
Hi Sheryl,
I love staying up too late with a good book. It's one of my greatest pleasures. One of my sons is the same way--we sometimes stay up together reading. I love that.
Outlander was on my list last year. I can't believe how long that saga has gone on. I hope the new installment is good for you!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts,
Ellen

Subscriptions
Hi Nancy,
I don't know how anyone can keep up with a subscription! That would take up almost all my reading time. I'm so impressed with the way the people around eHarlequin cruise through so many books in a year. It's amazing.
I don't have girls so I didn't read Reviving Ophelia even though it sounded great, but I did love Mary Pipher's book about family life, The Shelter of Each Other. I found it very reassuring when my boys were young and I wasn't sure if I was doing it right. (It being making a happy family. The insecurities of a perfectionist young mom--unbelievable.
)
Hope you enjoy your reading year, no matter which direction it takes!

Finally my list.
My list has two parts. Each year I always make a list of my authors that I have come to love and their upcoming releases. So I won't miss out.
Last year I just posted that list as part of this challenge. This year I made another list (more in the spirit of things) of books that I have had on my shelf way too long or that I have been meaning to buy or check out to read. Part one will change through the year as I find out about more of my fave authors and their 2009 releases. It seems incomplete, but I am subscribed to everyone's newsletter so I should get more info and even titles for books that I only release dates for right now. If I stick to Part II, I will clear my TBR stack (clearing throat) boxes.

I want Francis Ray to write my titles
And Mistress Makes Three? Come on, that's the best title ever. Who could resist finding out what the heck Happy Ever After comes out of that one?
I like your commitment to clearing out the TBR. I have a teetering pile on my nightstand. I think some of them I just have to admit I'm never going to read. But there are others that need attention. I got a few in the mail from the Tell Harlequin site last week. I'm not sure I'm going to read those--feels like homework when I'm already reading 5 Rita books. None of the Rita books have jazzed me yet. Hmm. Maybe, I'll take a look at the Tell Harlequin ones. I added them to the stack and I would like to answer the follow-up survey when I get it. See? Homework.
I love the two tier list idea. Nice work!
