Oh dear, Santa needs your help .... it seems he's misplaced a few of his reindeer and he needs them back ASAP
He sent me this letter,
Dear Katherine,
Every November I like to take my Team to the Bahamas for a little R & R before the BIG day. There was a little grumbling amongst the ranks, but all were with me when we started our flight home yesterday. But this morning, I went to the stables to count heads and it seems three of my reindeer have gone AWOL! I asked all the other reindeer where they might be, and Comet piped up that he seen Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph hanging out at eHarlequin.
I need your help! Maybe my friends at eHarlequin can find them for me? Please hurry, I need them back here by the 11th, when we do our practice run. I've enclosed their pics to help you identify them. Help!
Anxious at the North Pole,
Kris
PS .... These three are very crafty. If they know you're on to them they'll bolt!
Okay .... so here's what we're going to do ......
I need you all to comb the eHarlequin Blogs and Book Reviews and find these wayward reindeer.
You can post back here and say you're hot on the trail but don't announce where you've found them, keep it a secret.
Copy the URL of the webpage that you've found them on, and paste it into either a draft email or into a text file and save it. On December 10th, email me with all of your URL's .... katherine.ehqnhost@gmail.com with Reindeer Round Up in the subject line.
Here's what the wayward three look like ...
Vixen has arrived to guard the doors at eHarlequin, so that our rascally reindeer can't

escape!
So .... find these crafty fellows for Santa .... copy the URL and save it on your computer .... if you sight more than one reindeer on a webpage, make a note beside the copied URL of how many you sighted .... on December 10th email me all of the URL's that you've found in an email with Reindeer Round Up and the total # of reindeer found in the subject line .... all emails must be recieved by 23:59 EST ... should there be a tie, the email received first shall be the official winner.
We have a special announcement from Santa! .... Please visit him here ... Santa cries with joy!
Now, to spice up this little Reindeer Round Up ..... I have all four of the presently released hard cover editions of Mercedes Lackey's "A Tale of the Five Hundred Kingdoms" series ..... the member who emails me the most unique URL's for the wayward reindeer will be the happy recipient of all four!
So, who's going to help out in our Reindeer Round Up??? Every Community Member is welcome to join in!

Kaelee ... to copy a URL
Kaelee, the URL is the web address for the the page you found our dear roving reindeer .... so if you were to find one of the pesky fellas here in this blog you'd copy the URL above ....
http://community.eharlequin.com/content/reindeer-round-santa-needs-your-help#new
to do that, run your mouse over the URL in the address bar so that it is highlighted ... with the mouse cursor on the highlight, right click and click on "copy" ... decide is you want to save the URL in a document or perhaps in a draft email that you can update .... open that, and simply right click again and this time click on "paste" ... this will copy the URL to the place you've decided to save it .... be sure to save your file or draft email thought
I hope I explained that alright

So my husband
helped me with the ulr's and setting up a list. I'm up to four but no Rudolh yet. I don't know why I am doing it as I think the books are paranormal?

three of them so far. Not seeing any sort of pattern at all and heck, I thought I was pretty good at reading most of the stuff at eHarlequin but obviously Kaelee has me beat on that!

ROFL ...... the only pattern I've noticed .....
is the more you all read the blogs and reviews, the more often these fellas seem to come out .... your conversations must be like magnets to these three
Kaelee, yes, you could call these paranormal .... some would class these as fantasy ..... I like to call them fairy tales ...... they are romantic, advernturous, and fun ...... just ask FF

I'm sorry
I broke the rules. My overly tired brain didn't register that I wasn't to tell where I found them. So I guess I just get reindeer poop in my stocking this year. LOL. I'll use it as fertilizer in my garden come spring. Sorry Katherine I won't tell secrets anymore.

Good to hear, Kaelee ....... you know these three have supper duper hearing and when they hear that you know where they are, they'll just go into hiding ...... so far, they've been pretty friendly fellas and have come out where we can see them

Tame reindeer
are lovely to pat, and stroke.
. So are these ABSOLUTELY tame and carefully trained?
It's a pity the antlers cause their headrubbing to be dangerous. I wouldn't like to be gored accidentally.
So do we just need to tread lightly in the blogs and reviews or are the forums potentially dangerous too?

I don't think we'll have to worry about Santa's wayward three ...... these fellas are rather adorable! ... though they are proving to be a Challenge!

Oi, Christa!
Poor Santa was very upset when he wrote that letter and VERY tired too .... he wrote it VERY early in the morning! LOL
well, I'd be more afraid of being on Santa's naughty list than getting a stocking full of reindeer poop ... Santa's very anxious to have his reindeer home by the 11th ... Santa's afraid that everytime someone whisper's where the reindeer are hiding they may just disappear from there!

Rudolph
I finally found Rudolph, I hope he stays where he is. I've seen the other two reindeers around but this is the first for Rudolph.
Nothing more relaxing than a good book and a cup of tea.
Gosh
I hope my singing does not scare them away...
(hands clasped , face up: "me...me...me..., moo...moo...moo.. a-hem: "
" With cat-like tread,
upon reindeer we steal;
in silence dread,
lest hideouts we reveal.
No sound at all,
we must not speak a word;
a giggle now
would be so widely heard.
( in background HO Ho, HO Ho. Ho! Ho! Ho!)
Come... friends... who search to see!
Truce to machinations,
you tell us all your stations.
Lets... end... the tru-ancy,
and round up all the re-in-deer.
To-tals you tell,
send me to look for more;
I find rein-deer,
that I had missed before!

Errr...Santa or Katherine, if I don't get the top total (or even if I do as I am o'seas)- does my singing deserve an e-book?
Right.... nods head... I thought so.... I understand.... Really I do... May-be... sniff

Thank you Bookbuff.
In addition to
manglingsinging Gilbert and Sullivan I also can do Al Jolsen....on knee, arms outstretched, big painted smile:
" IIII'mmm al-ways cha-sing rein-deer...."
and then there's:
stands and swings bent arms with outstretched palms side to side:
"there's a reindeer round the corner, and a reindeer up above,
I'm singing so,
they will know
that we feel love."
and also....
Speaks to those on the side helping me off : no, I told you I do not need those tablets anymore...

y'all got more time than I do apparently. LOL I have happened across one or two but I know I can't compete with the numbers some of you have found already. I don't have the time or the patience to go hunting through hundreds of blogs for the reindeer. I didn't do the spider one last year either. Tentatively re-enters thread
I was offered a sound-proof blog but I promised I'd be quiet and unobtrusive.
Stands straight, hands clasped in front of chest
I have so many songs about reindeer; all three have now been spied.
"Reindeer are crafty, they're in coll-us-ion; look how they've managed to hide".
So we've been told and I do believe it, they are so smart you can see...
Someday we'll find all, The Reindeer Coll-ect-ion... for Santa: the Bloggers and me.
Who thought that San-ta would be heard & answered; and write to Kath-er-in(e)?
San-ta thought of that, and Kath-rin received it; she rall-yed Harl-e-quin.
Fo(u)r books entrancing, they've kept us all dancing; noting the rein-deer we see.
Wednesday we'll send in, the Reindeer Coll-ect-ion to Santa: the Bloggers and me.
(gently swinging from side to side)
All of us searching so well, we know they have some form of ma-gic.
Have
Ithey been half-asleep, and haveIthey heard voices?I've heard some calling
mytheir name.Is this the sweet sound, that calls the rein-deer?
The voice might be one and the same.
I've seen them too many times to ignore them, we're part of their Dest-in-y;
Thursday we'll know that the Reindeer Collections with Santa, the Bloggers and me.
I'm sure we'll find all The Reindeer Collection... for Santa: the bloggers and me.
Fading away I'm sure we'll find all The Reindeer Collection... for Santa: the bloggers and me.
