Rich Man's Fake Fiancee by Catherine Mann (SD #1878, Jun 08)

First in The Landis Brothers series (and last in the Beachcombers sisters trilogy). Matthew Landis is the eldest son (of 4) of the wealthy SC Landis family. Matthew is running for his mother's Senate seat. Matthew and Ashley Carson have a one-night stand which a slimy photographer got pics of. Ashley is just going to ride out the scandal -- she and Matthew are both single, after all -- but her sister Starr worries that the opposing candidate will get ahead in the close race, so Ashley and Matthew pretend to be engaged. Time spent together makes them realize that they could possibly have a good, permanent relationship. I enjoyed this very much, it's a quick read, which Desires are supposed to be. I wish that this could have been a longer book, though, as I would have loved to see more of the other relationships -- the ones between the siblings and parental units: I'd like to spend more time with them . . . Just ordered this

Just ordered this one today. Looking forward to reading it and how did you get it so soon, ebook maybe?

Yup, eBook.

(Desires are on sale this month in the eBoutique, btw). I was just going to read a bit before bed last night but then . . . sigh, kept going. So easy to do in the dark with the dh snoring next to me LOL. So I still have a few chapters of The Healer to go . . .

I ordered this one too,

I ordered this one too, didn't realize that it was attached to the Beachcombers series.  Glad to hear that it is a good story.

Cady

Well, they don't advertise it as a Beachcomber book

but Ashley is the 3rd foster sister. She's the only one still living in the house/restaurant. We don't get to see much of her sisters -- Claire and Vic are out of town in the beginning of the book and we see just enough of Starr to move the plot along.

I'm adding

it to my cart!  I haven't read a Desire in a while.  This one sounds like it will hit the spot.  Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

This is on my list

but I have not ordered yet in May.  I will have to get my list out and see what I want.

Rich Man's Fake Fiancee

Just finished this last night (and blogged today). I really enjoyed this story. The conversations in this book sounds like  something you would hear on the street. Looking forward to Sebastian in Sept.
