Rough and Ready by Sandra Hill (Thomson Gale/Berkley, 2006)

Loosely part of Sandra Hill’s Viking series. Funny and warm, but a very light read (light, but satisfying). Hill’s characters are always engaging, and the romance sizzles.

My rating: 3/5

From the back cover:
“It takes nothing short of a miracle to catapult Lt. Torolf Magnusson and his team of Navy SEALs back in time to the eleventh-century Norselands. First on the agenda: destroy the evil villain who terrorized his family and a nation. But when the sexy SEALs find they’ve land[ed] in the middle of a sanctuary filled with women—well, hoo-yah! At first resistant to Torolf’s pursuits, Hilda, the head of the sanctuary, soon succumbs to his passionate advances. But Hilda must face the fact that their love may not survive the test of time…”

Viking SEALs

I love Sandra's books.  It's always hilarious to see how they adapt to modern times, and how the modern people cope with ancient life Wink

Her Latest

I just read her latest Down and Dirty a few weeks ago and laughed all the way through it. I've read all her Cajun series and all of the Viking, Viking/Seals, and Pink Jinx. Will be reading Pearl Jinx soon. Really enjoy the humor in her books. I love how the author messes up modern language.
