Jumping back into the midst of yet another series is what I’ve done this week with another installment of Crown and Glory the across the lines series which started in SSE, jumped to SR and continues in Desire.
While there is little revealed in the ongoing mystery within the royal house of Penwyck, we are treated to a story of old love renewed. Can a once married couple find their way back to one another? Does a man’s need to protect and care for his family have to be exclusive to the lady’s desire for a career?
Jeremy has never gotten over his love for Jade, even as he has risen through the ranks of the RII, the group responsible for the security of the royal family, and Jade has missed not only her husband, but the sense of protection he gave her. And protection she could use now as she continues to receive letter from an unknown admirer.
After the abduction of Jade’s assistant and a not so platonic ride in a palace elevator, Jade shares with Jeremy what is going on in her life, his sense of protection jumps to action as he does every thing in his power to keep her safe, even bring her to his palace apartment for safekeeping.
