Scot on the Rocks

Scot on the Rocks

Since starting at Harlequin, I've had a special spot on my bookshelf for RDIs, they're quick reads, I know I'm guaranteed a happy ending and the protagonist is always in Marketing or PR so I can usually relate.

This book was a little different though, Brooke, a lawyer at a top firm in Manhattan, gets dumped by her long-time boyfriend, Douglas (a hot Scot). This happens after she's RSVP'd to her ex-boyfriend Trip's wedding and mentioned that she'll be bringing her Scottish fiance.

A Scot is expected to be at this wedding and Brooke does not want to look like a fool so she enlists the help of her coworkers and BFF in hopes of keeping her diginity ever-so-slightly intact and winning back Douglas' heart.

I love RDI's too and....

LOVE LOVE LOVE your new haircut btw!

Loved this one too

Oh, sure, Jayne. Rub it in for all those people out there in cyberworld who can't see her new haircut. LOL!!!

Yeah, i read this book last year and was really happily surprised. I don't know why, but I had thought it wasn't going to be very good, but it was. I especially liked the scene in the bar when they're back home - I'm pretty sure it's near the end of the book. Anyway, good stuff.

a) Thanks ladies! Although, I'm still convinced that it's too cool for me, but I'm working it.

b) The scene in the bar was a favourite of mine as well.

c) I totally related to the character when she cut her hair at the end, signifying the start of another chapter in her life. I'm totally notorious for doing things like chopping off 8 inches of hair or getting a nose ring or tattoo when something big is happening and I need a change.
