Second-Best Hisband

Sara Browning was hopeleely in love with her boss until the day his new fiancee walked in and destroyed her romantic hopes and self-esteem.  So Sara decides to go home to Shroposhire to her parents who live in a home near an old manor.  Unfortunately, her parents weren't home but the manor's new owner was.  Sara starts her relationship with Sturart by fainting on him but then becomes his secretary for his tree farm business.  As the days go by, Sara discovers that the two of them have much in common and wonders if she should settle for that or hold-out for a "great love."  Finally, they become engaged and then Sara's ex-boss shows up trying to get her back.  It is at that point that Sare realizes that she is in love with Sturart and she sends Ian packing!

If this review sounds boring, it's because I found the book boring.  This is a shame because Penny Jordan is one of my favorite authors.  However, there was little dialogue and minimal action.  Most of the book was taken up inside Sara's head as she works through her feelings first for Ian and then for Sturart.  I'm going to give this book a C.Cool
