The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes

Format: Print Books
Series: MIRA

This was an amzing book. Couldn't wait to finish it.

"In 1977, preganant Genevieve Ruassel disappears. 20 years later, her remains are discovered and Timothy Gleason is charged with her murder. But there is no sign of the unborn child."

So states the grabber...the develoment of the story line is a continual awakening of the woman the 16 year old CeeCee becomes, and the mess she gets herself into because she is young, alone and missing the presence of her mom. In spite of the circumstance, the reader becomes emotional involved with the family of CeeCee, and although the actions of the 16 year old are wrong...one can identity with what she does, and why. Perhaps that is the universal appeal of the story. Who hasn't made wrong choices because of youth and circumstances? Yet most of us make the mistakes with little or no consequence and CeeCee has to pay for what she has done.

Believeable, and beautiful story

ever searching...getting there one step at a time lulu
