The Secret Lives of Society Wives - Sarah Strohmeyer - Dutton Publsihing - 2005
If you like watching Desperate Housewives and The Real Housewives of Orange County, then you will love this novel.

Or that Lisa Renfrew has to down amphetamines to keep up with her neighbor, Karen Goss, who grows sensi hash among her organic oregano.

That is, until unconventionally attractive, yet socially awkward outsider, Claire Stark, marries John Harding, Hunting Hill's most elegible bachelor and the secret object of Marti Denton's desire. Determined to break up their marriage and win John back for herself, Marti embarks on a scheme that is undermines when and even bigger scandal rocks Hunting Hills and she finds herself turning to the one person who can offer her support: her new rival.
Full of characters that you will love to watch misbehave, The Secret Wives of Society Wives is a poignant and wickedly funny tale by nationally best-selling author Sarah Strohmeyer about suburban husbands and wives, crime and money, and, of course, the search for the perfect anti-wrinkle cream.
I absolutely loved reading this novel. This book appealed to me for a few reasons. First and foremost, because the storyline is similar to Desperate Housewives and The Real Housewives of Orange County, two shows that I don't miss for anything. The novel was set in a fictional neighborhood of Ohio. I live in Ohio, close to a prestigious country club so, I felt like I could be reading about the society wives just around the corner, that was fun! This novel was full of juicy scandal, gossip and backstabbing- so fun to read!
We might not have it all together but together we have it all. Suchacutie316
