The Secret Millionaire, by Ryanne Corey

I'll read just about anything. If it's printed, I'll read it. I can only think of one or two books that I actually quit reading. This wasn't one of them. I loved this book. Zack Daniels is a cop who was forced to take a vacation after his partner was shot. Anna Smith is your standard gorgeous kindergarden teacher. They both run into a drug store at closing time and end up locked in the basement together. Happens to me all the time.

Anna is upset because a male friend who's supposed to be getting married is suddenly obsessed with her. Can't live without her, almost stalking obsessed. She decides to take Zack home with her and pretend they're dating to convince her friend to go through with his marriage. If my fiance confessed undying love to another woman, there wouldn't be any marriage to go through with, but that's just me.

I loved the characters. Even the weasle fiance wasn't as much of a weasle as I expected. The dialoge was snappy and the plot was believable. Watching them pretend to be lovers without actually falling in love, and then pretending they weren't in love was fun.
