Seducing Mr. Right by Cherry Adair (HT 833)

Catherine Harris is Luke Van Buren's annoying little step sister – only he resented and ignored her for years, from like age 6 to 16, so they aren't too close, but she was abandoned by her mom at 7 so they both consider his dad their dad. Her mom has been married 8 times or something. So anyway, Catherine stayed home in their small town to take care of the dad while he was ill – she became a day trader and made Luke and their friend Nick friend rich. Now that the dad has died and some time has passed, she's put the house on the market and moved to San Fransisco, set on finally making her step-brother her man. She's loved him romantically for years, but although they kissed once, she threw up on his shoes cuz she had been out drinking with her friends for her 17th birthday and that was that. Now she moves in to his apartment when he's out and he comes home with his girlfriend and finds her in his bed!

Anyway, he's almost done building his giant family-sized house, although he is a committed bachelor, so she stays. She confesses the plot to Nick who offers to help her make Luke jealous and convinces her to ask Luke for lessons in making love cuz she's fallen in love with a playboy – him!

SPOILERS: They finally have sex and it's awful and awkward, but it makes him realize – she loves him! She wouldn't have had sex with him otherwise! Duh! So he's thrilled cuz he always wanted her too, but wasn't ready to know what to do with her - mhmm - and they live HEA.

I didn't specifically read this book for the book challenge, but I figured that I was posting about so many Cherry Adair books, I might as well post about all the ones I've read, so the above is my notes from when I last read this book.  From what I recall there were some things that made me roll my eyes (see spoilers above), but all in all this was a good fun read, and you could tell the HEA was well deserved and they really would be happy together.
