Happy September!
For anyone interested in writing for Presents or Modern Heat (a British line) there is a great podcast under The Write Stuff in Meet the Editors. Tessa Shapcott and Sally Williamson go into great detail about what they are looking for. If you are a reader and fan of Presents, you will get a behind the scenes view of how those books are written, and why the characters are the way they are. Sally is my editor, and yes, she is as sweet as she sounds! She is on the left in the picture, I'm in the middle, and half of Emily Forbes is on the right.
Also, I am so excited about the new widgets on the UK website where you can do a virtual browse of the books and read the first chapter, see the dedication, read the title page or back cover. It's fantastic. And I love that us authors can link them to our websites! The general website update in UK is fantastic in my opinion.
Fiona Lowe will be blogging at the Medical Romance blog Monday Sept 8th: Love is the Best Medicine stop by if you have the chance. Watch for Laura Iding on the 15th, Amy Andrews on the 22nd, and Emily Forbes on the 29th. We're very proud of our blog and would love to see more traffic over there!
Also, I have updated my website for September and posted the first chapter of Pregnant Nurse, New-Found Family which will be available at eHarlequin in October and out in Australia this month. I also have some exciting personal news which I've written about in my News/Dear Reader portion at my website. Stop by and send me an e-mail if you like. I included a picture sent to me from a reader in Malta! If you squint, you can see my book in the background. What fun knowing my books are floating around out there in the world. I also posted the French cover (it's gorgeous) and the Aussie version on my homepage. Take a look!
I hope you all have a great September. For those of you who are subscribers to Medicals, I hope you receive them in a timely manner this month.
Best Wishes,
Lynne Marshall

Lynne, can you tell me what
Lynne, can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? I e-mailed M&B IT a few weeks ago because browse the book doesn't work for me. They said it just takes a while to load, but I can leave it open for an hour and nothing. It will say downloading info from site, and then "done" but the screen is plain old white.
I'd love to browse books and especially direct readers to mine...but I won't if it's not a feature that works. ANd FWIW I've tried several books and it's the same, so it is a program issue rather than just my book.
Do you know of anyone who has had a similar problem?

Hi Donna!
I noticed that it does take several seconds for the program to load on my computer, but I haven't had a problem. Yet.
I wish I knew what was going on for you. I have Microsoft XL (or whatever the latest program is) I wonder if that makes a difference?
I hope the website folks get back to you soon. I wonder if there is anything about it in the digital toolkit for authors? Just a thought.
It is a great way to share our books, and I wish you could partake!
Best Wishes,
Lynne Marshall
