I'm finding it difficult to believe that just a few weeks ago, school started up again and September was a new month. Now look at it!
This month I read 34 books... not bad if I do say so myself....
Of those, 23 were from various eHarlequin imprints and 11 were 'other'; to add the cherry to the top, 6 of the books I read in September rated 5 stars of 5. A very nice month indeed!
- SARAH MCCARTY ~ Sam's Creed
- STELLA CAMERON ~ The Message
- JANICE KAY JOHNSON ~ Missing Molly
- LINDA HOWARD ~ Duncan's Bride
- ANTHOLOGY ~ The Gift of Christmas {w/ Jan Freed, Janice Kay Johnson and Margot Early}
- CHRISTINE RIMMER ~ Having Tanner Bravo's Baby
I'm sure that there was more that I was going to say, but I've lost all train of thought... it's after 10:30 pm and my brain's asleep already. So, if I remember I'll add my other "words of wisdom" here at a later date.... LOL (thanks for putting up with me y'all)
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Of course now that it's morning and I'm actually awake and aware ~ HEY! Below my signature, I saw "October's MEMBER OF THE MONTH"...
Very neat... and THANK YOU!!
Oh, the other thing that I wanted to do last night, but forgot? It's my, sometimes, monthly booklist.
- Sarah McCarty ~ Sam's Creed
- Diane Pershing ~ First Date: Honeymoon
- Anthology ~ Homecoming
- Candace Camp ~ The Marriage Wager

Hopefully I'll be able to match this for this month and the following two ~ that'll put me at close to 400 books for the year... not as much as last year's total, but nothing to sneeze at either.

I'm also hoping that there is no calendar. Some things are best left understated,
and my picture is one of them.

calender
I'm sensing hesitance about a calender. What if the members of the month picked a favourite H to apear in the calender for their month instead?

As far as I can tell
It is a book signing at the Signal Hill Chapters which I think is an Indigo and maybe unfortunately for you it is on Friday October 17th between 4 and 6 pm. I know Donna Alward, CJ Carmichael, Vivi Anna, Pamela Yaye and REBECCA YORK are supposed to be there.
PS I just phoned the bookstore and they do not know anything about it so will go and track down Donna Alward and see if she knows anything more.

Are those calendar comments supposed to be a dig at the
few of us who actually have photos up instead of avatars and cats?

Isn't that a hat? Won't your H be coat in just a hat?

well Katherine
We can always bring him indoors and make him lay on a bear skin rug in front of the fire, with a towel
but I like FF idea of just the hat

Kaelee, thank you... alas, I'm babysitting that day and the little ones don't leave until around 4:30... 3+ hours to travel south... RATS!
Sadhbh, no... no way... nuh uh! 'Sides with Christa's idea of using a favourite H in our place, who'd wanna see us? LOL
Christa, hmm a swimsuit would be nice...
and Fake Frenchie I think it's hilarious that you'd place Christa's July H in Australia's winter...
Thank you JanaBelle... nice to be in such exalted company!

Jill, I'm jumping up and down (quietly of course) in excitement... I think my family's getting tired of me crowing! *grin*
Nancy, still a little stunned ~ oh, sorry that's my usual state of mind....
Deb, merci beaucoup (gotta spread out my foreign thank yous.... )
KS, heehee... thank you....
Hey Margie, I wonder if I should make up cards or something...?
Katherine.... Ooooh... now THAT I'd pay to see... hot guy with only a touque... and he's not using it to hide anything, right? LOL
FF, touques are Canadian for knit (or knit-like) winter hats... at least that's what I've always thought... musta come from down East, eh? Les Quebécois, peut-être?
Jeez, Christa... you had to add a towel to the bare skin (uh, sorry....) bear skin rug... !

towel
The towel came from here. Katherine told me to hide them all http://community.eharlequin.com/review/fortunes-honor-jamie-craig-and-cowboy-delilah-devlin-qc-268 but somehow this guy still found one http://community.eharlequin.com/review/hell-raiser-rhonda-nelson-qc-348

KaeleeKathy .... I have a comment, but I must bite my fingers ... alas,weI must remember the PG13 rule ;)FF, nope, he'd not be cold ... he'd be a burly athletic Canadian .... we're used to the cold!

Kaelee ...
on no, not you .. my comment should have read Kathy (Kalyko) ... and was said tongue in cheek ..... I was thinking of the comment that was going through my own mind and what direction the conversation could have gone from there ... too many towels and touques, or the lack thereof, were clouding my vision
you have said nothing wrong ..... sadly it was me who seems to get confused on who's she's talking too .... thanks for pointing out my mistake and I appologize for the misdirected comment

Hey Katherine
it's okay. The towel and touque thing is getting to me too! I don't even have to use much imagination.

Kalyko
Sorry you can't make the book signing. Can I pick up anything for you?

ROFLMAO...
Oh Katherine, it's a good thing one of us put a stop to it... yeah, my imagination was DEFINITELY working in overtime mode. *sigh* And it was very much a case of we... if not me... after all I got the ball rolling so to say... I think.

So from now on I'll just have to think of touques and towels all on my own....
Kaelee, Oh wow... I never thought about that... I'll have to think... which is sometimes harder to do than other times....
