When a serial killer is terrorizing Chicago the FBI and C.P.D. have to work together to bring the predator down.
This case was different in that all the victims that had been targeted were male, and all had been mutilated in the same way, but what was the vendetta and how were the victims related to each other. What was the common thread?
Agent Marina Santos was assigned to the case and had to work with Lieutenant Reed Crawford. They had a brief history, which had ended badly but had to put it behind them in order to work this case. But as the case heats up, so does their feelings for each other, both were explosive. The City clamouring for the killer to be captured, and Marina and Reed trying to keep their high pressure investigation on track. As they race against time to solve this case before it claims another victim, they must also face their feelings for each other.
In honesty I wasn't sure about this story when I started it, but found it to be a good read with a few twists and a very surprise ending. If you like suspense thrillers then this is a book you might want to look at.
