This was my first Audiobook ever! I am hooked. I drive an hour one way to work, so I have spent my drive time listening to this book.
Merilee and Joe were teenage sweethearts, he went off to college and she followed later. When she suddenly broke up with him, he was devastated. She left school and returned to Laurel Falls, Oregon, where she was plagued with severe panic attacks. Joe went on to a major league football career, only to be injured and without a job. He returned to Laurel Falls with his four-year old son in tow. He visits Merilee, only to cause her to have a panic attack. I enjoyed this story so much, I couldn't wait to drive to work, or to just drive, so I could listen to it. Of course I could have brought it inside and finished it sooner, but I love to savor a good story!
