• I had book 5 and 6 in my TBR pile when Glenn reviewed book 4. So I found books 1-4 on the ebook site. Since I will be traveling through the Navajo Nation I thought these would be a good choice to read now. Not only are the stories great (I’m currently finishing book 4) but the insight into the Navajo people’s culture, which Linda Conrad does such a good job integrating into her stories, will make my trip richer. Thank you Linda, for doing such great research.
• Kody is an FBI agent assigned to Navajoland, or Dinetah as they call it, because he is Navajo and speaks the language. He and his brother Hunter (book 3) and their cousins Ben (book 2), Lucas (book 4) and Michael (book 5) have formed a Brotherhood to fight the secret war against the evil Skinwalkers.
• Reagan, a self professed Geek, travels to Navajoland to find her father, a Navy scientist, who is missing and last thought to be headed to the reservation on an amateur archaeology hunt. When Reagan is attacked by killer bees on a remote highway, Kody is there to rescue her. He then agrees to help her find her father, whose disappearance is shrouded in suspicion. Some think Reagan's father is about to sell military secrets.

re: Shadow Force
Oooh, I forgot about these--I read the first two and have the later ones, but never went back to them! I agree, I loved the look into Navajo culture. What a great way for you to combine your reading and travelling--hope you have a fantastic trip!
Hi Lady_Amalthea
Go dig those books out of your pile. The Skinwalkers hit close to home in book 4. I'll probably finish the series before I get to Navajo Nation, but I know I'll be looking for landmarks. And I still have Tony Hillerman's The Wailing Wind and Doug Preston's Tyrannosaur Canyon to listen to in the car! I'm glad I'm traveling with a group.
