Shadowed Memories by Al Lacy is a book for anyone who has followed some of the civil war in the Ohio River, Tennessee River Cumberland River, Fort Henry, Fort Donelson, and Corinth Shiloh battles of Spring and April 1862.One of the bloodiest battles the people living there were in desperate situations, many sites of the battles are depicted in the National cemetery.
. It depicts some of the war and some of the family problems associated with people in the same country fighting each other. The Shiloh battles causalities were horrendous
To lighten the war story a romance is included. Having lost his memory, but feeling he was in the war as an officer,but not knowing for sure if he is Blue or Grey a man travels toward a farm, and possible safety, this is where Hannah Rose discovers him with a bullet injury. Romance follows but what if he is married already, his memories are shadowed, remembers some things but not name or family things, they are both Christians..
Well written with historic facts, by a religious man, the romances are pure.
