THE SHEIK AND THE PREGNANT BRIDE by Susan Mallery, SSE, March 08.
Maggie Collins had come to the exotic desert kingdom of El Deharia to restore Prince Qadir's antique car . . . not to get married. The no-frills mechanic had been burned by love before, and marriage - even to a seductive sheik - didn't top her agenda. But then Qadir made her an offer she should have refused. It was meant to be a temporary engagement... until Maggie discovered she was pregnant. Now Qadir was honor bound to give Maggie and her child the protection of his name. He never expected her to sweep him off his feet. Would there be a royal wedding after all? Susan Mallery is an auto-buy for me and I love her Desert Rogues series. The only part of this story that disappointed me was the baby's paternity. *shrug*

I had an issue with that as
I had an issue with that as well, the dad will really never be a major player in his child's life with her living there. Made me feel bad for both of them.

TBR--The Born Readers
Hey
I've been doing a lot of reading, FF, and just not going online. Sorry to worry everyone. I talked to Kim a few days ago and figured she'd post something in the corral. :-)
I agree, Cady, and the romantic in me wanted Qadir to be the father. *sigh*
I don't agree ladies, the story wouldn't have worked at all for
me if Qadir had got her pregnant, and unfortunately the storyline is
realistic. I personally find it more romantic that Qadir will ensure
that the child gets to know its real father and how the other half
live, because it would be so easy for the rich Sheikh to pretend he was
the only father and the good guy but if he did that he wouldn't be the
honourable romantic guy we love

About feeling bad that the biological father is going to miss
out - well there's a life lesson there that if he'd been a little
more responsible, she wouldn't have got pregnant and he would only have
had children with the love of his life.
The child shouldn't actually lose out on anything, it should have double the love
