Sheik Seduction by Dana Marton (HI #1039, Jan 2008)
"She had planned to be all business, but nothing could have prepared Sara for the strength and sensuality of Sheik Tariq Abdullah. When they met, she couldn't help but respond to the magnetism of this powerful man.
Born to rule, Tariq was used to being obeyed. When their convoy was brutally ambushed and the honey-haired American consultant Sara Reeves was attacked, he'd do anything to protect the woman at his side.
Trapped in the desert, surrounded by unseen enemies, he would fight to get Sara to safety...but they couldn't fight a desire hotter than the burning sands."
I enjoyed this book - both characters were strong and the chemistry between was explosive. The storyline was different - they were on the run from terrorists, both dependent on the other. Good book.

Hi Elle
I think I'll pick this one up. I'm not normally one for shiek books, but I do love sexy Alpha's. Add to that, I adore the intrigue series.
Make a Difference - Read
and the picture isn't bad either!
Hi Lorie - I think you'll like this one. I was actually surprised at the violence in it - although with terrorists involved there has to be lots of it. I'm just not used to in an HI
I'll look forward to reading your review!

I do like the cover!
Yup, Katherine T has it right....Don't you just love a shirtless man in water?
I almost picked this one up in the 12 Deals of Christmas, and then opted for other books. Now I kinda wish I had grabbed it up.....oh, well
ElleJay, I have been watching the books you have been reading, and I love the variety of books you select. I remember your books being quite the variety last year as well, but I don't remember you reading any LUNAS, is that right? Just curious

What a good memory, Tammy!
Yes, I've never read any Luna's - but I did read my first Nocturne last year. Luna is more fantasy isn't it? And I'm more a paranormal reader. But I should expand my horizons and give them a try. Can you recommend one?
I went out of my comfort zone and ordered 6 ehar minis and have just been reading them thru Adobe on my PC. A couple I had already read as on-line reads but they are still good. This has whetted my appetite and now I'm thinking of buying an ereader. Man - I can sure think of ways to spend money! The Kindle isn't useful in Canada so I've narrowed down to about 3 - now to do my research.
There's an excellent thread going on about e-readers and ChrissieSue and Nicole (Cole) have been most helpful. I may be going to a conference in Sept so my goal is to have one by then at the latest. But i'll probably try for the summer.
Thanks for you kind comments. I do like to read different books. Sometimes I go into an HP kick but I try not to blog them all together cuz I know they are not the favourites of the other Challengers and I do enjoy the comments and chatting.
Actually I've not been reading as much. I'm busy here plus I've got the organizing bug at home so I better work it while it is here! I start a course in Feb - all day Saturdays for 6 Saturdays. That will be tough after working 5 days a week so if I can get my house clean and organized before then it will be half the battle.
Talk to you later!

March's Member of the Month!
It was more violent then usual....
but I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked that Dana Marton made Sara a strong h, she kept up with Tariq, in fact she saved his life, while he was saving hers!
Lynn
Caution spoiler - a bit!
Thanks for the list FF - I look into it.
Lynn - I was surprised at the scene when they were first in the desert - so many killed, even her colleagues.

Hey ElleJay!
Hey ElleJay!
Luna has been more fantasy, but it seems as if they are leaning more towards Urban Fantasy now. I would recommend Jeri Smith-Ready's Eyes of Crow, and Voice of Crow. Those made my top ten last year. Also Poison Study was fantastic, by Maria V Snyder.
Wow! Congratulations on trying out some ebooks! Good luck on all your research, I know the task can be quite daunting. I use a mini laptop to read my ebooks. It actually converts into more like a tablet PC, so comfortable for reading in bed.
I will have to stop by ChrissieSues, and Nicoles threads to see what everyone is getting. Please let me know when you do get a reader, I am curious to see what you ultimately end up with.
I love HP books. But I did notice I didn't read as much last year as I normally do. I think it was the influence of so many other books on the blogs, that my HP books kind of got shoved aside. But I still bought a ton.
Wanna come over and organize my house too??
Heehee, mine needs organizing so bad!! I have all I can do to at least keep the house sanitary. And I can't give up my morning reading time to organize. What type of course are you taking? Sounds like you are going to be very busy!
Take Care,
Tammy

Hi Tammy!
Well I was looking at PDAs but when I told the salesman in the store that I wanted to read books on it, he suggested I look into the ASUS Ee series of laptops/notebooks - they are quite small with 11" screens (perfect for books). I went on to their website and took a look and I'm interested - now to find a store that stocks them so I can take a trial run! What type of laptop do you have?
You can get most of the info on the e-readers at THE KINDLE REVIEW (see my favourites for the link). You'll find more links once you are on the thread
I am slowly working on getting my designation for a Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) through the Canadian Payroll Association. I've got the Payroll Supervisor but since I'm a manager I need to get that designation. The course I'm taking is part of the program and they fast track it to 6.5 hours for 6 weeks rather than 3 hours a week in the evening for 13 weeks. So it will go by quickly. I've got to take 3 more courses after that and they are academic classes so they'll be a full semester long (17 weeks). I'm not looking forward to them. I like my free time too much!
Your note above cheered me up - I came home tonight fully expecting my eharl order (made Jan 2) to be here. I rec'd an email on the 9th stating it was shipped - that's 13 business days ago. I'm annoyed - the post office cannot be that busy at this time of year. So, I've decided if it is not here by Monday evening, then I'm going to request a refund. All the books I ordered (Feb's) are now out and I can get them @ 20% off. I'm really tired of this - why offer books a month in advance when you can't get them to the customer before the retail stores have them out? The extra 10% for the challengers is not worth the stress. I'm going back to my old eharl buying policy - i'm only buying the books that I can't get in retail (special releases etc) or ones that are on a real good sale (like 60% off).
Oops! Sorry! Thanks for listening to me vent - it's been a long hard week and I'm tired and grumpy! I think some retail therapy is called for tomorrow!

Hey ElleJay!
Hey ElleJay!
I use a Fujitsu Lifebook, P Series(I think It's a 1610???), dh picked it out for me, and LOVE it!! The fact that it turns into a Tablet PC when I read I bed is a definite bonus. And it has an 8 inch screen. They tend to be pricey, though.
Thanks, I'll check out that link!
It does sound like you will be super busy! Which academic course will you need to take? I hope you still have plenty of time to read.
I am glad my note cheered you up!! I would be annoyed not having my order too. I usually buy ebooks, so it's instant gratification. But last month I splurged during several of the deals at Christmastime. It took a while to get a few of the orders, but none of the books were new releases. So, waiting wasn't too frustrating.
No problem, ElleJay, vent all you want!! Retail therapy is definitely in order, but I am assuming by now that you have already shopped. Sorry it took so long to get back here!
Talk to you soon!
Tammy
